  2. Yup cracking car you got yourself there mate. Enjoy her, I know I have done over the past year.
  3. Ahh i get it now, the symbols change each time
  4. Yeah but... How does it know which symbol your looking at, ive had 3 different symbols come up now?!
  5. theres some mad 360BHP ones on youtube, guess that might defeat my purpose of buying a car for reliability and petrol consumption tho
  6. Well thats that then, deposit is down, I pick it up on friday :) cant beleive ive just bought a skoda all the same
  7. Brembo's, they are fecking nippy. I think im gonna go for it and put a deposit down tommorow
  8. Well i test drove it and I must say, very impressed, goes well and handles excellent. fantastic interior, dual zone climate control, half leather seats, various other bits. Gonna have a think about it
  9. well it takes me just over 3 hours to get to the NEC from norwich, and thats further north then london but i dont have fast access to the A11, takes me maybe 30 mins to get to the A11 so around 2 and a hour hours from norwich, maybe a bit more.. Id say you'd struggle to get there in 2 :)
  10. A Skoda Octavia VRS, Yes I know its a Skoda but the figures dont look bad... 0-60 7.1, top end of 148. its a 2006 Reg Mk2 with 9k on the clock £12495 it has a 2.0ltr turbo from the new Golf GTi. Any opinions? and finaly, Yes... I know its a Skoda
  11. Doh.. Rookie mistake of not reading replys first
  12. That sounds expensive?
  13. Well managed to change the coilpack but still no Joy... I dont have the tools to take the spark plug out so I couldnt look at that.. If its not the spark plug whats the next likely thing it could be? Dead injector?
  14. Would I need to just undo it at one end then to get to the coilpack? So theres no fuel pipes I could accidently undo or anything? Also if i do manage to do this and swap the coilpack, would i need to put the balancebar/pipes etc back before starting it to see if it fixed it? Is there a guide or anything anywhere to taking this off? Cheers Pete.
  15. Still got a missfire on my N/A. Its the cylinder at the far back right hand side, under the balance bar thing and pipes.. With my limited knoledge i darent try and remove these to get to the coilpack etc, I have managed to get the connector off the coilpack/injector and give em a clean, but to no avail. So.. Ive got it booked into a local garage :x: for him to take a look at it. Im hoping it might just be the coilpack or sparkplug. What else could it be? Dead injector? If it was say a Dead injector how much am I looking at for getting it fixed at £30 an hour? Cheers Pete
  16. Raise the age of buying them to 30 or somthing
  17. I considered a S2000 but they are group 20, and i want somthing cheaper to run then the Zed, GT4 aint a bad idea tho
  18. Ive Test drove a S15, very nice if a little cramped inside. Adrian Flux qouted me £2k for a UK plated turbo 2000 im 25, 1 NCB , 3 points 1 accident :/ I was paying £1300 for the Zed
  19. Impreza/Evo insurance would be to high, Evo's cost alot to maintain dont they? I like the new golf gti but its out of my price range unfort
  20. At the risk of this type of topic becoming a trend.. Long story short, Sold my TT few weeks ago, Pottering around in the N/A at the moment (unsure what to do with this) I Want somthing with some go in it, Hopefully cheaper to insure then the Zed, Reliable, and hopefully better on petrol. I was looking at Scoobys/Skylines but the insurance is mad on them so it kinda puts them out of the picture.. Things ive looked at other then that... Civic Type R (i think id need to test drive one of these to see if its my thing) Integra Type R (as above) Audi TT Skoda Octavia VRS Supra (?? Ok not better on petrol but hopefully reliable enough?) A3 Tsport (not sure if this one is to "normal" for me tho) One of the things that seemed to tick all my Boxes was a 200sx S14a but examples are limited and it would have to be a Manual with not to many miles on... Im also open to "exec" car's, BMW/Audi etc Cheers Pete. Edit: Oh yeah, Budget is 10k but lower is better :)
  21. Looks nice mate, I like these and was going to get one to replace my Zed to, But the insurance guys qouted me £2000 !!! Like 700 quid more then my old zed
  22. Umm right gone out the morning to clean the connectors, started her up before i done anything, and she sounded fine, took her round the block, no problems? Can these things cure themselves somtimes? It was a cold damp night as well
  23. My N/A has developed a missfire..... On the journy home it cleared after, 1/2 a mile? Anyway seems more consistant now, ive pulled all the connectors off and each one makes a change in noise apart from the one at the back on the right of the engine, as u look at it, Behind all the pipes etc.... I managed to get a knife between the pipes and prize the connector off, if this isnt creating a change in noise is that likely to be the problem zone? Is getting to this connector hard? being behind loads of crap, if so Theres no way i can try a diff coil pack as im a total newbie. Any ideas?
  24. I like it, seems cheap as well, I tested a 2002 reg one about 2 months ago nearly bought it as well but it was up for 10k
