Japanese import
You may want to put a euro ECU into it, as if it comes with a tuned ECU from japan they have different octane in their fuel.

Strange red light on dash!

overboost button
to be honest, i was thinking it was a gimmicky in that - why wouldn't you already have it tuned to maximum anyways? alas, cheers.

overboost button
Hello, was wondering if anyone had put an overboost button on their car, allowing for a few moments of extra boost. I'm not talking of NOS here, just a bit more pressure like the twin turbo John Cooper Works MINI (please.. don't take the piss... was just reading an article on pistonheads)

Flitting - 350z
camping trips in a LWB... heaps of room, sleeping bags, clothes, big tent and even a little 12v fridge. with plenty of room left over to put the beer and food too. i do think its touring potential is underlooked.

oopps! LAPTOP HELP PLEASE :)
Get a spray can of Isopropyl alcohol and a can of compressed air. With the laptop turned off and holding it upside-down (you'll work out a way), spray generally the isopropyl wait a few seconds then blast it with the compressed air from one side to the other. The cans usually have a small tube to fit the nozzle so you can get it between the keys.

turbo exhaust manifold types
hello, looking for some thoughts about stainless steel vs cast iron manifolds? what else to look for, like what makes one better than another and does it make a huge difference? i have standard turbos at the moment but looking to upgrade them at a later stage. many thanks.

Amp to run several 6x9's
recommend digital designs if you are serious about bass. they have some quad coil subs, though i've only ever installed their dual coils. real fine products. and their better amps will happily run at 1/2 ohm stable! http://www.ddaudio.com/dd/default.asp

Need new targa/spoiler rubbers
don't use silicon based as this can encourage rust. Urethane is your friend, seem to recall it only comes in black - atleast thats all i've ever had. could try and make your own? http://www.sealsdirect.co.uk/bbCMS/shopping.asp?intDepartmentId=68

de-spoilering
so, it means the car slips through the air easier? wouldn't reducing the amount of air flowing under the car do the same thing?
-
de-spoilering
at what speed does the spoiler really come into play? i'm thinking of removing mine - some days i think zeds look better without some dayz i think its better with. my boot sometimes swims, and i dont' really want to glue it on to the metal of the boot - and i've replaced the rubber seals. could it be worth fabricating one that lifts up at a certain speed, like the old porsches do? nice winter project.

hicas
yeah, i remember hearing something about gear ratios in the NA vs the TT. Whats the difference?

4wd Z
you'd lose the rush of kicking the rear end out round corners... putting your foot down and smoking the wheels past people on the motorway :nono: get yourself a skyline gtr for AWD fun.

Front bumper
not all bumpers are the same. some of the cheaper ones are a real *@#% to fit properly.

Difference between Auto & Manual..
thats where the hold button comes in real handy. slam your foot down, it changes down then flip the hold and take your foot off - stays in gear and quite handy for windy roads. i been thinking of putting the hold button on the steering wheel because i use it so often.

exhaust replacement help please
do the screemer pipes keep the back pressure up? and by how much will the turbo's life be shortened?

Pulse Spark Plugs
I noticed that the magazine 'Modified Magazine' did a review of them in a April 2008 in a 350Z. Anyone got a copy? "i think like a dozen or so pulls before hand where the best number was 239.7( car had 1,200 miles on it), and five consecutive pulls after the plug install topping with 250.1"

Venting Engine Bay
Hello, i noticed that my grill under the front window is slowly disappearing in small bits. What has been left, is a rather large gap which I'm wondering why was this covered up? Seems it would block a lot of heat escaping. so im wondering, surely a little grill to keep the leaves out would be all thats required? I'm figuring that its much safer than putting washers under the bonnet bolts which then put the bonnet just above the little 'catch' hooks which stop you from being beheaded... (read about that one some time ago...) These bits (sorry haven't got a picture to better explain): Is the cowling actually required (other than for cosmetics)

Pulse Spark Plugs
Anyone got any thoughts on these? The company seems to be getting a bit of talk on various 'new energy' websites. http://pulseplug.biz/
