  1. Book a open pit lane trackday - then you can go on and off track as much as you want, all day. :) The amount you'll spend on the car is much more than the price of the trackday itself. http://www.bookatrack.co.uk are excellent, very well organised and have low max booking numbers.
  2. The missus would have no problem with it then :nelson: :D
  3. And the VTEC sounds near the end :rofl:
  4. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/9b2495cc-413a-49ab-909e-980a003e5f46.htm The guy's a genius!  :D:D
  5. Read it then!
  6. Excellent news Chris :)
  7. Tell them you've lost your paper licence, they'll send a new one to you without the points on :) Might have to pay though, but it's not a lot. Or move house - then it's free :D
  8. Nice one thanks Steve
  9. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Netgear-DG834G-v2-802-11g-wireless-router-w-ADSL-modem_W0QQitemZ250015154327QQihZ015QQcategoryZ44997QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Is this the kind of thing I can connect on the other side of the house on it's own to the main phone socket and transmit the connection across to the PC? Cheers  Pete
  10. LOL How dare anyone mention PC equipment without dialling the pk1 hotline!! Can't believe the sheer audacity of it Leigh!!
  11. Excellent info thanks Gaz, yeah it's an old house with what looks like old phone wiring actually. The upstairs phone seems to be hard-wired in :wack: I'm going to pull the maze of phone cable out and simplify it :) Re the microfilters - now you mention it, in our last place we never had a filter for the sky box!
  12. 8Mb - blimey, you might as well download the whole tinterweb one night then you wont have to connect again :P The BT guy said we'd now be on 4.5Mb max when I spoke to change addresses last week, we were previously limited to 0.5Mb because of our distance from the exchange or something, despite living in a built up area of Daventry :wack: 4.5Mb has turn out to be 1.5Mb  Maybe it'll settle 'up'. Still much quicker than I'm used to though :)
  13. Ah :( Although since I've posted this, it's been sitting and has not disconnected, and the download speed has settled at much higher than it's been all evening.
  14. Yeah I have! Hopefully that's it then - cheers Matt  How is a gent supposed to Limewire in these conditions :headvswal :D
  15. Anyone on BT getting disconnected every few minutes or is my modem fooked? Cheers Pete
  16. FFS LOL I don't think it's meant be a show car  700-800BHP and you all start moaning about bonnet bulges and exhausts... It's not like the price is high sky high. "It's fun to find fault with cars on ebay" ;)
  17. No - they don't fit CAs, and they're the same size so wouldn't be an upgrade.
  18. Just noticed this thread :) Yeah I'm used to the sceptical remarks, some whole forums slate them, though very rarely has anyone actually bought one and not had a good thing to say, often people are amazed at the engine response/starting improvement shown. As Andy says above, yes you'd probably get the same response by renewing all your earth wiring etc but which is the simpler/cheaper job? :wack: Additional earths do make a difference. Nismo do a kit for the 350Z which you can buy through Nissan, they're obviously confident they work on new cars. The biggest gains are obviously seen on older cars where you're adding brand new high quality cables to supplement/replace the tired, corroded standard cabling. Manufacturers don't use the highest quality components everywhere on a car, they compromise to allow prices to be competitive. The quality of my Voodoo cables are ridiculous overkill hehe  As Mark says, poor earthing, although not poor enough to be noticable, has been blamed for radiator and heater matrix degradation. I won't pretend to know why but there are a few threads on it if anyone wants to search :) Re dyno testing - I can safely say that many cars will show no difference to power, and some would show an increase at least somewhere on the power curve if not across it. Of course I'm not going to test this as I'd need a massive sample of cars to rule out air temp/oil temp/etc differences between dyno runs. Anyone who has has a dyno session will know you don't get the same consistent result every run. Your arse-dyno will usually feel an improvement though :p Any power increase would usually be down to the grounding kit 'fixing' a poor earth - no bad thing. Power increases aren't what they're about anyway, I only mention that area because the topic always comes up in discussion. One days I'm going to have a proper dig through my inbox archives and put a feedback page on the site, there's some great comments esp from Skyline R32/33 GTR owners, they love them. http://www.groundingkits.co.uk ;) Cheers Pete
  19. Quoted instead of edited :wack: :smash:
  20. Sorry to hear that Greg mate but know what you mean - can you email me your email address ;)
  21. LOL I honestly think a car that slow is dangerous!
  22. I'm hooked too - excellent series. Just waiting for 3 to start airing :mad:
  23. Try this one on the missus... "Your sock's got a hole in it..." "No it hasn't!" "How d'you get your feet in then?" :smw:  Cracks my up every time :D
  24.:rofl: Looks like you're in trouble now though ^^^
