Maybe you've got a weak battery? It must be the electrical load of the lights causing this somehow. The missus' car almost stalls when you have idle with aircon on and hold the electric windows button down, but then thats an 'ickle 1.3...

The ECU will adapt to Super or Optimax as it is self-learning. I believe the slightly more expensive cost of Super/Optimax is negated by the better mpg they give.

Hmmm I can hardly feel mine actually changing, just the revs dropping to the next gear and the change in acceleration. There shouldn't be a noticeable delay I dont think :S
