Coleman Balls...old but I dont care!
:rofl: 'My parents have been there for me, ever since I was about 7.' - David Beckham 'I would not be bothered if we lost every game as long as we won the league.' - Mark Viduka 'We lost because we didn't win.' - Ronaldo 'If you don't believe you can win, there is no point in getting out of bed at the end of the day.' - Neville Southall 'He's put on weight and I've lost it, and vice versa.' - Ronnie Whelan 'I was watching the Blackburn game on TV on Sunday when it flashed on the screen that George (Ndah) had scored in the first minute at Birmingham. My first reaction was to ring him up. Then I remembered he was out there playing.' - Ade Akinbiyi 'I can see the carrot at the end of the tunnel.' - Stuart Pearce 'Alex Ferguson is the best manager I've ever had at this level. Well, he's the only manager I've actually had at this level. But he's the best manager I've ever had.' - David Beckham 'I've had 14 bookings this season - 8 of which were my fault, but 7 of which were disputable.' - Paul Gascoigne 'I've never wanted to leave. I'm here for the rest of my life, and hopefully after that as well.' - Alan Shearer 'I'd like to play for an Italian club, like Barcelona.' - Mark Draper 'You've got to believe that you're going to win, and I believe we'll win the World Cup until the final whistle blows and we're knocked out.' - Peter Shilton 'I faxed a transfer request to the club at the beginning of the week, but let me state that I don't want to leave Leicester.' - Stan Collymore 'Without being too harsh on David Beckham, he cost us the match.' - Ian Wright 'I'm as happy as I can be - but I have been happier.' - Ugo Ehiogu 'Leeds is a great club and it's been my home for years, even though I live in Middlesborough.' - Jonathan Woodgate 'I took a whack on my left ankle, but something told me it was my right.' - Lee Hendrie 'I couldn't settle in Italy - it was like living in a foreign country.' - Ian Rush 'Germany are a very difficult team to play...they had 11 internationals out there today.' - Steve Lomas 'I always used to put my right boot on first, and then obviously my right sock.' - Barry Venison 'I definitely want Brooklyn to be christened, but I don't know into what religion yet.' - David Beckham 'The Brazilians were South American, and the Ukranians will be more European.' - Phil Neville 'All that remains is for a few dots and commas to be crossed.' - Mitchell Thomas 'The opening ceremony was good, although I missed it.' - Graeme Le Saux 'One accusation you can't throw at me is that I've always done my best.' - Alan Shearer 'I'd rather play in front of a full house than an empty crowd.' - Johnny Giles 'I was surprised, but I always say nothing surprises me in football.' - Les Ferdinand 'It was like the ref had a brand new yellow card and wanted to see if it worked.' - Richard Rufus 'There's no in between - you're either good or bad. We were in between.' - Gary Lineker 'Sometimes in football you have to score goals.' - Thierry Henry

"plus VAT"
There is on mars bars you whopper!! :slap: Its a "luxury food" ;)
-
"plus VAT"
Why do garages always quote Mr Joe Public a price for something excluding VAT?? Most of their customers are not VAT registered companies but individuals so cant claim it back - so why do they give you the net figure??? I wouldn't expect Mr Newsagent down the road to say his mars bars were 29p plus VAT...so why are garages so different?? Just a gripe ;) Pete

hmmmm...Auto's
- cos the gears change themselves, does that mean it protects the gearbox quite a bit, or can it still get a fair bit of abuse? I guess so, you dont get engine braking in an auto at normal speeds (unless overdrive off) so thats gotta keep the engine a little less stressed. Though putting your foot down will redline in every gear - With Z Auto's, is there still a delay from when you put your footdown to the car zooming off in the background (apart from traffic lights, lots of fun :) )? There is a slight delay, due to the torque converter I believe - although its no longer than the time it takes to physically change the gear in a manual, you only notice it because you're not doing anything lol  Apart from holding on tight :D - Will the Auto's work in a way that will save me fuel? i.e. does it select the most fuel economic gear, or the most pwerful one? Will an Auto save me money on fuel in the long run (yes, I know the Z is not a car for the savers) - but I tend to spend about 36 odd miles at least 70+ a day, and the other 10 miles or so are still between 30-60ish. Are AUto's better for driving in the city than manuals? Driving an auto casually around - it will usually sit in 4th gear, slipping quietly into 3rd if you flex your foot, go uphill etc. So yeah it guess this is great for fuel economy. You wouldn't drive at 30mph in a manual in top gear would you? - I know the Auto will be faster from 0-60, but from 60-100 and 100-150 who is faster? Manual or Auto's? Think I might have started another fight. IIRC Its the manual which is quicker 0-60, then the auto 0-100, I'm sure the difference is tiny though. Dunno 100-150 - would imagine the slighly larger turbos on the manwell would give it the edge  What was the thing that someone mentioned - if you buy a manual then you need a new XXXX, but if you buy an auto you need a new XXXX. Clutch. Gearbox. I think Also roughly how much for a service? And I know I don't deserve a Z yet, but is it RWD\FWD\4X4 I have a bad memory? Rear wheel drive, front engine, mahoosive power! :D:D Service is no different from any other car of its type. Couple of hundred for a minor, up to a few hundred for cambelt service depending on where you go :) Cheers Pete

Speed Kills??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stuart - if the motorway limit was 100mph - people would not all drive at 110,120 etc. I for one usually drive between 75 and 85, occasionally touching 90, because I feel safe at those speeds, traffic permitting etc.... I would not feel safe at all travelling 110mph for long stretches, passing other motorists etc. I hate this "argument" that some people come out with claiming you can simply add 10 or 20mph to the speed limit and thats what people will do. What percentage of cars can actually do 120mph?? Maybe people drive 20mph over the m'way limit because 90mph is an acceptable speed to them, not too fast, not too slow.

Speed Kills??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Too right - I think the obsession with lane 2 is that so many people are crap at changing lanes in the first place, so to avoid having to pull out all the time to overtake trucks they install themselves in one lane :xxx: All probably to do with not learning to do it properly in driving tests/lessons... but then would a learner be safe on a motorway? Dunno... Pete

When I bought my zed it had exhaust and decatted downpipes, with stock airbox. Fitting an induction kit made a big noticable difference right through the rev range :) Pete

Speed Kills??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL Thats completely the wrong conclusion :slap: Tyres are made for a purpose...if the dont fulfil it, they are at fault. We could blame petrol for making the car move in the first place
-
Speed Kills??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes it would I agree, however if we all drove around at 10mph surely the roads would be a safer place ;) The actual cause of the crash is being missed, ie faulty/unserviced/whatever tyres - its easier to blame "speed" Pete
-
Speed Kills??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unless you were exceeding the speed rating of your tyres then the blown out tyre would be the cause there surely... IMO This whole issue comes about in response to the media knee jerk reaction in blaming EVERY accident on speed :xxx: If a pedestrian steps in front of you when travelling eg 43 in a 40 then it immediately becaomes the fault of the driver in the eye of the "antispeed" ( more like antimotorist IMO) brigade  No mention of the fact the pedestrian should have looked/judged the sistuation etc. The general situation of drifting above the legal limit is not dangerous IMHO  And excessively speeding then becomes dangerous driving if its inappropriate anyway...which is covered by a different law which is fine. I get pissed off with the "lock him up and throw away the key" attitude of a vocal minority of this country towards motorists :xxx: Pete
