  1. I presume you weren't touching the brake or accelerator at the same time? Or going too fast? ;) It wont work at 140 :D:D

  3. I was looking at a GTO the other week and the owner was going to fit a sort of Y-shaped section of exhaust between downpipe and centre section. The bottom of the Y attached to the downpipe, then one side of the top went straight to the centre section as usual. Now the clever bit, the other top piece vented straight outside, and had an electronically operated butterfly to move the flow from usual to straight outside. This frees up a load of power for drag racing etc, and makes a lot of noise :D A switch in the cable is used to open the exhaust when you want it. :bow: Dunno what they are called, or where to get them - has anyone heard of them? Obviously the centre section of exhasut would need to be shortened to fit it in but I guess loads of places could do this. Any thoughts about these? Cheers Pete

  7. A press is needed to remove the old one and fit the new one, and you need some pretty beefy tools to tighten it up to the required tightness. So I guess it depends if you've got the tools etc. JD did mine :D

  9. The second pic from the left on your bottom set of pics is your tension rod and bush, theres obviously one on each side of the car. Pete
  10. I used to get arch rub on one side, fitting the Energy Suspension polyurathane tension bushes as an upgrade cured it, and the old ones looked fine. I think with age the stock ones just compress easier allowing the wheel to sit further forward. Stock ones dont contain any fluid to leak anyway do they??

  12. Yeah I bought a stock FPR too, last week, it was about £70 all in from courtesy.

  14. Glad I didnt race that one then Martin :p I'm running 12.5psi boost, spiking to 14 max. Last dyno at 12.5psi gave me 348BHP at the flywheel :) Glad you didnt say it was an NA GTO :D

  16. Was still accelerating, albeit slowly, I think it would take another couple of mile to top out lol. The fun bit was stopping on the first run, I took so much speed through the turnoff I though I was gonna spin lol, was a bit more prepared the other times :D Pete

  18. I looked at the rev counted through the finish at TSC on Sunday, at 155mph it was at about 5,800 in 4th (auto), overdrive on, creeping slowly up hehe Pete
