  1. I'm fitting some of these NGK ZFR7F-11 plugs at the weekend for a lovely cold spark too  John I've still got the boost leak detector I promised you - do you want me to post it to you tomorrow to help at the weekend? I'm going to the PO anyway... :) Cheers Pete
  2. Hehe cool - right 12seconds is my target cheers! :D:D:D
  3. Yeah Great Britain forum - this is the French one in case you didnt realise ;)
  4. Just received one of these from Chris@GetGReddy - looks a great piece of kit, will be doing some...err...testing at lunchtime :D:D Sadly not in the zed tho lol, any predictions for 0-60 & 1/4mile in a 1994 Mondeo 1.8LX in the wet hehe? I did 17.5s 1/4 mile at Pod in the dry so I'll see how it compares if I can find a good road. Anyone got one? Pete
  5. I think thats ok as thats what ConZult does automatically when checking them :) IMO of course ;)
  6. Nope lol :D:D:D:D Shame... :duffer:
  7. Woohoo! Dont think I've evr had a "Zed spotted" replied to by the owner  Very nice! You wont have spotted me cos I was in the Mondeo...the zed stays at home most of the time  especially when it's raining ;) You live local then?
  8. Borrow some of the missus' nail varnish remover and a quick wipe on a soft cloth, followed by soapy water should rid those marks in an instant  :hyper:

Paul - if its got boost jets to raise the boost, wont safety boost be higher than stock safety boost  Pete
  10. Lovely white zed heading East between Southam and Daventry at about 8:15 this morning. Vented nose panel and high rise spoiler  Was it you?
  11. I'm sure a stock zed'll do quicker than 130 lol :) Yeah Matts Probe is one mean mutha! No match for a zed though Matt right? ;) Pete
  12. pete_shrimp ;)
  13. Right manual boys can fook off again :xxx: :D:D ;)
  14. LOL Ok Paul...manual boys are welcomed with open arms :hyper: :hyper:
  15. Cool cheers Mac ;) Any idea of the ratios/ tech theory behind this anyone? Ie at what speed will the car pull harder with overdrive ON again? Cheers Pete
  16. IIRC One side is easy to do, and the other side is a nasty job. Good luck Pete
  17. Thats what I've usually always done but would there be any advantage in clicking it back on to allow for higher speeds? Or wouldnt it make a difference until 130/140+ lol?
  18. Ooh cool, cheers for that Jezz :) I'd print it off but...
  19. 12 months...thats quick isnt it lol? Can they track your speed throughout the run (laser device?) or just as you pass the finish? For those that blow up lol ...
  20. Manual boys - fook off now :xxx: lol Right, when I was last at Santa Pod I toyed with using overdrive on/off for a 1/4 mile run, including changing it on/off when reaching 3rd gear. If there was a difference, it was less than 0.1 seconds overall, but I didnt log how I did each run (crap experiment then lol) However what should the effect be, and in theory - what setting should you use, and would you go quicker by clicking it on (or off) part way up the strip? Eg on hitting 3rd gear? My thinking would be to have overdrive OFF until 3rd gear was reached, then click ON again. Or just leave it off? Any techies confirm the best way, bearing in mind how overdrive works? Cheers Pete
  21. Only 130? Stock terminal velocity at 0.25 miles is 100mph... Surely the last 1.37 (I think lol ;) ) would give more than a 30mph increase no?
  22. Has anyone done this sort of thing? Sounds good fun, ragging the car up an airfield as fast as it will go! What do you reckon the 300ZX will reach within the 1.57miles (I think) - will it have reached top speed by then? And what d'yall reckon would be a good MPH result for a stock TT, and what effect with various mods? BHP is King I guess. We should do pretty well with our big engines and good pulling power at high speeds over say the 2.0litre Scoobies. Just provoking discussion on a topic we dont really get to try out on the roads :) Cheers Pete
