  1. Absolutely gutted :( Just shunted the zed. I went into the back of someone on the motorway today, the usual palava, everybody suddenly brakes for some unknown reason  further up the queue and I got caught out. Couldnt go left or right as there was a car alongside me and the central reserve on the other side. Hit the cars left hand rear, my right side front. I'll post some pictures up later when my camera has charged with a plea for advice :) Reckon its repairable but I dont need this :( It still drives, after I freed up the LHS intake hoses. Will need new bumper, headlight, foglight, wing, bonnet, and some work on the cross member above the headlight, and what ever else I find. :( I'm gutted. Told my insurance to sort the other car out and I'll fix/sell/break mine :( depending on the money involved. Cheers Pete

I've wondered about that, which is more economical? Autos are usually in the highest possible gear when cruising so thats gotta help the fuel economy?

LOL Well come to think of it my mondeo Haynes manual says 59litres and I've had 61 in before. Maybe it's a petrol pump scam ;)
  5. Dont think you're being sneaky by bringing a lardy GT4 down as a "surprise contender" ;), cos it'll make no difference :slap:
  6. Shut it you two, I'll gladly hand both your arses to you on a rubber plate made for two :D
  7. They are made of "durasteel"

LOL So it'll fit 72 litres but you can only use say 65?

Rubbish, I did a 1/4 mile then drove for 10 miles all with the petrol light on, then filled up with just under 60litres yesterday, dunno where this 72litre info comes from
  10. Hey Craig, were you at Santa Pod yesterday? I see you found the forum  Cheers Pete
  11. LOL Yeah and it blasted out the thunderbird theme tune from external speakers all the way up the strip :D:D

Is this that Mycroft geyser?
  13. Evening! Great day at Pod today, loads of zed there too. I think James got the fastest of the zeds on the day on his 1st attempt too  Good to see Mike Feeneys 350Z getting beat left right and centre by 300s :D:D:rofl: I had 5 runs, beat a turbo Scooby Estate, a Clio, an Escort RST, an Astra Turbo, and an R5GTT. Was hoping to get some quicker opposition this time but nothing really within a second or so. Times were : 13.913@104.62  Excuse - damp track at 10am...:D 13.641@104.69 ...getting dryer ;) In the afternoon I got 13.562@105.39 13.560@105.15 13.517@105.81 - equal best time at Santa Pod I've had, v hot too :) Quickest timeslip stats (Iknow you like 'em) were: React - .515 60 ft - 2.305 330ft - 5.908 594ft - 8.304 1/8 - 8.843@83.48 1000ft - 11.312 1/4 13.517@105.81 Kind of frustrating that I keep getting 13.5, like last time at Pod too lol, but then I guess that means the car is running well, and consistent  Reactions times were all between 0.5 and 0.6 which I'm pleased about. Tony, James, what times did you get? Some awesome top fuel dragsters and funny cars there, absolutely mental noise and acceleration!! Some pics... Cheers Pete
  14. Scoops I reckon 15psi will give a lot more than that, mine dynoed last year at 350 at 12.5psi... Probably more like 380-390, if everything is running well obviously.
  15. Chip and boostcontroller can net you around 60-80BHP with no other mods, although most people start with induction, exhaust, decat :) Hmm I guess a fraction is not noticeable, stock 0-60s are manual 5.6s, auto 5.7s I think. I still havent hooked my G-Tech meter up to mine but I'd hope for a fraction ;) under 5 seconds  Pete
  16. Autos are a fraction slower to 0-60 but a fraction quicker 0-100  Autos scare manual on the dragstrip :D:D Mr half-decent-driver will probably take a manual round a track quicker. Pete
  17. You need to be subscribed to PM I think, you can probably use the email user facility I'd imagine. Tracker was £245 from Bob @ Safeandsound in the traders section as part of a group buy, plus £110 subs per year . Immob was on when I got it sorry ;) Cheers Pete
  18. Mines got a tracker and immobiliser ;) SWBs look kind of ... stumpy ;) LWB are nice and sleek
  19. Avon Park is just outside Stratford in Warwickshire.
  20. I'll be at Pod on Sunday if anyones going? :) With 15.5psi I can well believe that terminal speed, with a poor start
  21. Whens that bud? I'm sure I'll be there :D
  22. Yeah the key release button disables when its in drive, I've done that before lol :D
  23. Waasitchooo? Nice blue H-Reg (IIRC) zed with tailgate skin and big shiny deep dish alloys crossing over the Queenway Road traffic lights this lunchtime. Anyone? Pete
  24. That Evo is shite :D:D I nailed him off the line at TSC! :D After 10m it was a different story... :( Fancy that race then Stuart? Now that you're an addict
