  1. I'm sure Matty will have some black Hammerite left... then again I think he used it all :x:
  2. Is it ok to bed pads in like that? That would save a lot of pussying around hehe
  3. Really? Boost jets are often flamed because of the spikes - so controllers create them too??
  4. Yep great advice there - I guess this should always be taken as read when upgrading anything. Eg sort your suspension out when improving brakes etc
  5. Chip, boost jets, induction kit. You should have change from £200 if the induction kit is new. Or wait around and you might get one second hand. Have someone who knows what they are doing fit the chip and jets. These together will give you a big increase in power. Exhaust and decat are usually one of the first mods, though these are more expensive. Pete
  6. Cant really tell from the speed limiter alone - if it has been converted to mph this moves the limiter from 180kph to 180mph which you dont really get much chance to try to do ;) Did you go just over 112 or enough to rule out speedo accuracy? Before mine was chipped it used to top out at an indicated 190kph Pete
  7. PMSL! Still looks good Matty :D
  8. Found a post by the guy who boshed his Soop: "come off the lights on the strip lost a bit of traction not too bad off a start started accerating through 2nd gear the arse started twiching in the process of corecting it when the arse just spun away and was heading side ways to a wall managed to strighten up and hit the wall head on. i think i picked up some water in the wheels and being new and cold tyes with traction control off just would not grip gutted but iam still here and hopfully the bill will be under £2000" http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=22565&highlight=santa+pod
  9. Depends what chip you have to start with. 0.9bar should be ok with any decent performance chip. 1.0bar is usually the max people recommend on stock turbos/intercoolers/injectors. Cheers Pete
  10. WTF is that bloke carying in your pic Jimbo???
  11. Because he probably rebuilds his engine every other week anyway, so he doesnt need the built in weak link ;) :smw:

LOL What time did you get there then?? - the morning and early afternoon were fine.
  13. I was there too, on both days, a great weekend  Best bit was standing in the Barn behind the jetcar - fooking hell! One second hot air, the next instant fog with no visibility! :D Had a look at the Supra, he was lucky there wasnt more damage. The bumper was knackered and his bonnet wouldn't click down. The crash was strange - he almost came to a standstill well clear of the wall but somehow carried on and bounced off it  Might have a look over on mkivsupra.net... Got no pics as I forgot my camera but a great selection by TC  Cheers Pete
  14. Hi mate, IIRC theres 2 10mm bolts holding the main shroud on, one on either side at the top, slightly fiddly to get to but you dont have to remove anything. The main shroud is clipped onto a lower piece which (trying to remember...) you might have to get underneath to remove. I think there is a twinturbo.net "how to" for removing the radiator, with fan shroud removal as part of it. HTH Pete
  15. No seriously lol, a few of us have them: NGK ZFR7F-11's. They make a v cold spark. Need changing after something like 3,000miles but they're good - do a search... Cheers Pete
  16. Yay! Thanks bud :) :D:D:D:D
  17. They work here fine but nobody has laughed yet  lol I'll laugh on my own :D
  18. Cheers boys, yeah we whacked a few pics up to fill space ;) Except Jezz's bling engine bay :D Thanks Martin! Will get that sorted now. :) Cheers Pete
  19. Evening all, well morning ;) Just started the grounding kit website off tonight - http://www.groundingkits.co.uk . Would be a great help if you could have a gander and tell me what you think honestly (not too honestly...) Big thanks to bluedwarf (http://www.nliconsultants.co.uk ;) ) for the IT help  Obviously it needs a bit more work but the structure is there. Does anyone know why the error message in the order page comes up in German???? Cheers Pete
  20. LMFAO! Some people are taking this far too seriously :D Other other sports would love to be more like football, kids wearing shirts, waving flags etc, its not a maturity thing - its simply more popular and appealing to kids. They can actually buy a football and kick it round with their mates, I dont know many kids who can buy an F1 car and race their friends round the yard ;) Pete
  21.  Are you not getting confused with those films she lends you?? :D:D
  22. Unlucky Matt, she'll be worth the wait tho  Am now camping over on Saturday night at Santa Pod, so watch out for a boozed up shrimp lol :D:D :duffer:
  23.:rofl: To answer someones question a few days ago, I am actually rolling around on the floor pissing myself :D:D Nice work Mac :D Seriously tho Paul, that looks great mate  Smeg! Imagine what it's like trundling along the motorway, then Bosch! A wide arched zed appears behind like a Comet ;) Pete
