I think you are talking about the lazer jammers. They are deffo illegal. You can be done for obstructing an officer in the line of his duty. He wants to know about detectors.

They are not illegal http://www.snooper.co.uk/speed-camera-law.htm I have a Snooper S5 which is about 3 yeras old so there are newer ones but it works great at detecting speed cameras (you get about 400 - 500 M warning in traffic and about 200M if your on your own, the signal bounces off the back of the cars in front). You soon become very confident at blasting through cameras!!. However, the band type on automatic doors on supermarkets etc. is the same as a speed camera so in town it's going off all the time. This does keep you alert though!. It also works great with the speed gun, you get about 1000M notice. It does not work with some mobile cameras and of course the calibrated speedo of a chasing squad car but I have had no points (touch wood) since I bought mine. I'm sure you can get a more modern one off the website above. Let me know how you get on because I might change mine. Ignore that Simon chap, his glass is half empty :rofl: Cheers.

No it wasn't. I got the worst dose of the shits that I have ever had. It pissed down on the day we went to the market and the water was running down through the town about a foot deep. The shopkeepers saw this as a wonderful opportunity to throw out all their rubbish and it all came down around us. There were pieces of dead animal in that water and it smelt like a badly run old peoples home. On our last day, a few people left there cases in reception while they waited for buses etc. A van pulled up and loaded all the cases in and guess what?. They were never seen again!. The food in the hotel was crap, covered in flies and tasted of nothing. The part of the hotel where main reception was had no European fire cert so we were in the "block" over the road. Every time you came out to go over to the main building, you were accosted by taxi drivers, hawkers and beggars. Nightmare!!. We went to Port El Kuntooii or whatever it's called and that's a purpose built European resort so you should be OK there but the shopkeepers are still leering untrustworthy shites. And if your girlfriend is blonde, forget it, you'll get no peace at all. Cheers Then.
