  1. I cannot advise you about what clutch to use. As far as the flywheel goes it would be safer, and more practical to buy a lightened flywheel. From previous experiance with other Jap imports, the flywheels tend not to have the extra metal on them to make skimming a good idea, lightening stock can cause them to fail. Keith
  2. I’m a new member of this club /forum and as such I don’t actually know any of you or the reasons this club seems to be split into 2 camps at the moment. To be truthful at the moment I don’t want to. But that’s not my point. The current set of round robin is being conducted on an OPEN forum, so anybody can read it, i.e. members and NON-MEMBERs. While you all are entitled to you opinions and to voice them, they should be voiced in a private members area, say a section for members to discuss issues involving how the club is managed, grievances, etc, not where they can be read by people who are not members, BUT maybe thinking of joining. Not only does all this wrangling put the club and yourselves, and might I say Torque-power, (as it seems to be the signature of a lot of the people with negative issues towards this club) in a bad light, but it will put people off joining either club/forum. Without new members as well established members both will suffer. I wish you’d all go out and get drunk together and settle your differences, and maybe remember you used to be mates. I’m a new member and I don’t want to get involved in this dispute, but I do think that it should not be discussed on a public area. “Washing your dirty laundry in public” is never a good thing! Please also remember the reasons for AUP’s on any forum is because British law applies here too. If you make slanderous, defamatory, abusive or “insight to cause” comments you can be prosecuted. The Club is only trying to protect itself and you. May be the committee should have a members only area where they can explain why someone was banned and what rules of the AUP where breached. I hope you all can settle you differences, and move this club forward, as I believe all of you only want what’s best for this club.
  3. You'll need TT calipers, if you want to use TT discs, the TT discs are thicker 30mm instead of 28mm on the NA.Both have a diameter of 300mm or so. The pads are the same. If your unsure which calipers you have, measure the width of the slot in the caliper where the brake disc run. Its 30mm wide on NA calipers and 33mm on TT's. Swapping the calipers is quite easy, you'll have to undo the caliper from the hub to change the disc, just undo the brake pipe from the caliper at the same time to remove the caliper. Just remember to bleed the brakes afterwards.

  9. I might be wrong in this, but arent crank counter weights used to drag and splash oil into the piston bores to lubricate them. So if you knife edge them, you might gain 1-2 H.P., but won't the lack of oil in the piston bores cause premature failure of the piston rings and damage to the bore.
