Changing subframe bushes
WTF is the best way to get these b*****d subframe bushes out. The poly bushes I have are energy suspension and they recommend pressing them out., but i don';t have a press. How about drilling them? Need fairly urgent as car is in bits at mo. Cheers.

Picture of underside of front OEM bumper needed.
Just put all my front bumper back on 2 days ago after respraying it on the bottom. I seem to only have one vent on drivers side. 3 grooves on other to let air out from intercoolers. Don't think it is to good a idea to loose the under tray due to too many puddles and sucking up water.

Stock TT manual peeps!!!!!!!!
only 145 due to the tyres having quite a low speed rating. Didn't really want a blow out.
-
tyre sizes
I don't particularly want them that skinny but they look better than stock ones so will stick with them until next time - then 18's.

tyre sizes
They should be 225's all round, but on 7.5j's, but i have different wheels.(off an old Skyline I think)

tyre sizes
For some reason i have got a set of 6.5" wheels all round my jap import. It does make it quite fun to drive, but a bit dangerous some times. Have got 205's fitted at mo but need to replace very soon. Will larger width tyres fit on or do i have to stick with this size. (Can't afford to buy larger wheels - due to upgrading shocks and intercoolers)

Best brake fluid ?
Oh right. This must be why my nice new grooved discs are blue and cracked after about a month.

tints yay or nay
I was going to get some tints but told the insurance and they put it up about £50. The film only cost £27! FFS. Tried putting some on one of the little rear windows from a m8 that had some sitting around - wot a nightmare to fit, bubbles gallor. Hate to imagine on the big rear screen. Get it fitted by a pro if you decide on it.

I got mine from Carnossieur. They did have the McGard ones and they are the only thatcham approved ones on the market, but i went for a cheaper set as i didn;t take enough money and the cheaper ones looked better. Don't know what make tho.:)

High Idle and dodgy lights
First thing i would check for the idle is the throttle position switch, probably dodgy wires. Give it a wiggle. (small black box on top of passengerers side engine.) The wires tend to loop back and break. ;) As for the idle I would probaby guess an earth problem somewhere.

Anyone know where I can get set of ducts to fit on uprated intercoolers. Tried SE-Nissan but they only do a kit.

fitting subframe bushes
I understand from the person who makes the spacers that you dont need them with poly bushes.

Running costs
I never let mine run too low but always fill upwith about £40 worth of fuel - that will give me 200 miles. I worked out about 20mpg. I could never get another car to get to work in tho as it makes work worth going to, just pure fun. Have to go the long way every day.

housing under inlet
it is the rocker cover. There are to on each side. Both have that instant gasket stuff underneath. Good luck getting it back together.

Buying 300zx
I would also do a compression check if possible. I didn't and the engine seemed fine, but wasn't = big hassles and bills. As the others have said check turbos very well as it is an engine out job to fix. Is it still standard or has it been tweeked? Good luck.

clear rear light
anyone on here fitted the clear rear lenses that are offered on ebay. Are they easy to fit?

is there a safe boost level when cold?
is there some sort of safety feature to prevent from high levels off boost being run whilst the engine is still coldish. Its just after about 3 miles the temp. guage is in middle , so nice and warm, but when put foot flat on floor the engine kind on dies and i end up shooting forward on to the steering wheel. This has happened 3 times now and seemed to be the same feeling as when I tried turnibg the boost up to about 18psi for go. Is it just the injectors running out or something else?
