  1. I thought buying one of these cars would have made me cool, how wrong was I!!
  2. If it smells sweet could it be coolant?? Maybe from the matrix.
  3. I was been having the same problem over the last couple of days so I thought I would try some of the advice above. Went to disconnect battery terminal and found there was no need for a spanner as it was hanging off already. Checked Throttle body sensor which looked ok until disconnected, connections were all green. Same with PTU and temp sender, every thing cleaned and reconnected tightly. Going great now will keep my finger crossed.
  4. I like the look of that so I,ve just bought some!
  5. Paul, How about having a meet so as we can all drool over you new beast (the one with four wheels). I for one would like to have a sit in it, as long as you don't go to fast as I scare easy.
  6. I work for BOC (Brittish Oxygen Co) and we have been using SAP for about 9 years now and I still hate it!!!!
  7. Could be this guy? http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/member.php?userid=10165

  9. Dan, I have seen some people selling second hand A'PEXi twin cone kits, can you tell me the benifits if there are any! And if you stock them what is the cost new?
  10. Just subscribed by paypal, not sure if i did it right as I could not see anywhere to put my details. Transaction i.d. is 7TW45861AW7668847.
  11. All in a good cause!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Cheers Ossian, I have done a search on boost jest which then led onto boost controllers now I am undecided. Looks like an EBC would be safer, think I will start with a twin cone induction kit and them maybe do something with the exhaust but like you I am on a budget. Thanks for letting me see you adjustable sills if you need anyone to hold a fire exstingusher when you start the welding give me a shout!
  13. I have a customer who collects argon from me which he uses to repair alloys by TIG. The company name is Auto Visual and they are based in Linlithgow, their number is 01506 840200. I can not vouch for them as I have never seen any of their work but they talk a good job. If you do use them tell them that you got their number from Andy BOC, it won't get you any disscount but it might get me some, LOL!!!
  14. I read a thread on a different forum about someone who had the same prob, turned out to be the drain pipe from the targa was split causing water to run into fuse box. I had a problem with water leaking into multi plug up behind glove box, my problem was more noticable as fog light, head lamps and horn would all switch them self on when it rained also affected cruise control.

Any chance of doing some tech stuff for us folks who live in the (far) east, I'm new to these cars and could do with someone giving me some good tech advice!
  16. Someone with user name sidewayssteve has posted in the Scottish section under FISRT MEET OF 2007, not that I want you to start a witch hunt but why not try asking him to explain himself.
  17. Cheers mate will give it a go this weekend, thanks for the quick reply!!
  18. speedemon, Sorry to drag up an old post but how easy was it to remove the blower motor and the carousel as I have dropped something (bit of plastic bag) down there and it is catching the fan. AND ITS DRIVING ME FECKING CRAZY!!!!!
  19. £10.98 which I think is a bargain, the product code (not part number) is 28865.
  20. Just my luck, left for work early this morning got 500 yards down the road when the wiper linkage popped of. Drove home to do a quick repair which didn't work, had to drive to work in the pouring rain with just the passenger side wiper connected :nono: got there 30mins late. Have splashed (excuse the pun) out on a brand new one from dealer which should arrive on Saturday, managed to swap the linkage round at work so hopefully it will not fall of going home!
  21. I would come but I think Iam getting to long in the tooth for Falkirk cruise, I am sure you whipper snappers will have a great time!
  22. I haven't had my TT long but have so far tried; Shell Optimax, just under 200 miles to a tank. BP Ulitmate, 220 to 240 miles to tank. Tesco 99 ron 200 to 220 miles to tank.
  23. I will be needing new front tyres soon, I currently have the following fitted; Front; 225/40/18 Conti Sportcontact. Rear; 255/35/18 Michelin Pilot Sport. My wheels are 18x8 Mania Racing split rims (I think). Being an ex fastfit manager I always rated Michelin, but have be finding them a bit twichy on the rear. So would like some advice on whether I should go for Michelin all round, or if money was no option what would be the best for keeping me on the straight and narrow?
  24. Sounds good to me, I could let you all hear my rattles and bangs!
