  1. Yeah we went. Superb show after we found the place! What day did you boys go? We went on the sunday. Ivan
  2. Hmmmm have you tried taking the coil pack connectors off whilst the engine is running? See which cylinder doesn't make the engine note change and then do a compression test on that cylinder. I did this on mine to find that the cylinder (no. 4) is very low on compression. Ivan
  3. Mine does this. Try removing the coil pack connectors one by one first and see if any make any difference to the running of the engine. If they do then run a compression test on the cylinders that make no difference and see what the reading is compared to all the others. Ivan
  4. Have you got any pics of the red converted cluster mate? Ivan
  5. Have a look at mine when you see me next mate it's been like that since i've owned the bloody thing. Split and lifting all along the strip above the taillights. Ivan
  6. Is that the same one as on the white one at billing last year? Ivan
  7. BTW does anyone know if this is the only TT slicktop auto in the club/country? Ivan
  8. Hmm looks sweet mate will pop round next week for a looksee. I know how much it was guy's but I'm not saying. He does have bigger fish to fry (Macca?) Ivan
  9. Woooohooo another Ivan on the boards. Welcome to the institute for the bankrupt mate! Ivan
  10. HHmmmmm yeah useless apprentices. Got a couple of stories. When I worked for Nissan we got our parts deliveries in 6' tall by 8' long cages and on one of our laddies leaving days we put a brush handle through his overalls and cable tied him into it and closed it all up and then wheeled him outside and pressure washed him off. It was the middle of winter with frost on the ground and he was out there for over an hour. His fingers were blue afterwards and he didn;t have a change of clothes so he squidged around all day LOL. We sent another (working for TVR now) up to the tractor place around the corner for some KY jelly and they told him he was too young for that type of thing LOL Now working for Landrover one of the technicians sent a lad up to our parts counter for a long wait so the storesman said "hang on I'll get you one". So he served another person, went for a fag, answered the phone and about 50 mins later he was still standing there. He told him to tell the technician he was working for that we didn't have any in stock and the mech told him he'd already had it. He was like  for about an hour! LOL Another the same time was told to go to the gas place next door and get a bucket of pink welding gas not the green stuff. LOL You could always do what we do in the stores. Have an appentice beating day. We use friday's as they are always that bit slower. He's 19 and 6' 6" and about 20 stone but the supervisor is an ex taikondo type geezer and quite strong so he gets him in a grip and just squeezes until he is rolling around on the floor in pain LOL. But he is a right cheeky bugger so he deserves it tbh. Ivan
  11. Get it sold mate. TBH it is one of the tidiest mini's I've ever seen. Deffo sweet but I just cant seem to fit in the little things. I think he needs the drive space for a nice Z..... Ivan
  12. How did you do them Cadpaul? Ivan
  13. Nah mate the dash thing could be a number of other things on these piles of crap. Loadsa ecu's covering all sorts of traction/brake things. Ivan
  14. Registered and posted too mate. Ivan
  15. If the front would slant all the way down to the ground it would be better as the car would have either been speared or deflected over the train. Ivan
  16. Yes particularly poigniant for us as every train crash is as our hgouse is situated only 80ft from the tracks although we are semi-protected by several large trees. I think the design on the Intercity was partly to blame for some of the deaths. It's a very old design now and the frontal design would have casued the engine train to ride over the top of the Mazda and the train to de-rail. Have you ever seen an American train (or any other flat-fronted train for that matter) hit a car parked on the tracks? They just tend to batter the much smaller car out of the way often into the air and the car just desintegrates. Just my 2p's worth. Ivan
  17. Also boys the indicators are in the inner front lights with the sidelights and the outer front clusters are tinted very dark and are blanks, chassis number on the plate should start JN10RGZ32U I think, all UK cars are twin-turbo 4 seaters and the fuel filler flap is behind the rear wheelarch (which also signifies it's a 4 seater LWB). Ivan
  18. *****Thread Hijack***** I suspect I know the answer but are you from Melbourne UK or Melbourne Australia? The only reason I ask is that my girlfriend lives in Melbourne UK and I've never seen another 300 there. Ivan
