hmmmm..... well i'm hoping i've got a triple-plated race clutch deisgned to cope with the 850bhp my car's previous owner has obviously tuned the car to... :D but i fear I should stare wide-eyed into the grim face of reality and accept the fact that it's probably just on the way out... Never mind - as long as it doesn't strand me somewhere when it goes i'll be ok. After all, if something needs replacing, you might as well upgrade! ;)

While I wait for my cheque to wing its way toward Craig i'm hoping for a bit of advice on a clutch issue that is worrying me.. I can't remember if it's always done it but the clutch on my Zed is really heavy when the car's turned off - when you start up it's ok cos I imagine the servo assists but I can't remember it being like this a while ago. Also, driving to work today I thought I noticed the clutch getting heavier, not incredibly so - but noticeable. The clutch doesn't seem to be slipping - no revs rising without speed etc - the pedal just seems heavy. What's going on guys? Is it on the way out? :( Or could it be my imagination? i.e. does it do something else when it's on its last legs? If I do need a new one- how much roughly does it cost and can anyone recommend somewhere in the North East that knows what they're doing? Any advice much appreciated. Cheers, Chris

Chris, is it your Z at PPS? Was in there last week booking my zed in for a wings-west mid level rear wing and 4 round light conversion and saw another silver z with ALOT of work being done on it. Peter said it was another person called Chris. If it's yours it should look the danglies when it's done - silver is by far the best colour ;) Cheers for the recommendation Mac, looks like he'll do a good job. I especially like all the pictures of your Kit Kat he's got on his walls!! Soon the North of England will be dominated by silver zeds owned by people called Chris!!! :D
