  1. looks like i won't be going to redline rumble after all, as i haven't got my Z yet. will therefore probably come up to the meet, will a bright yellow fiat punto HGT be acceptable?? :x: i'll even park it behind the bushes on the far side of the field so it doesn't ruin the view of all the Zed's
  2. Was supposed to be collecting my Z today, but the registration documents still haven't arrived. And it's not like i can nip and fetch it after work, its a 3 hour train ride away!! It was supposed to be going to redline rumble this weekend aswell :headvswal
  3. where can i get some 'targa bags', as i don't think my cars got any coming with it
  4. nutters. if that was a race, then why did the Z keep braking and letting the R32 catch up??
  5. i have an ipod control box for my head unit and i also use an Audiobahn equaliser in my sound system which has quite a few connections. is there plenty of room behind the head unit in the dash?
  6. i've been asked to show the car at redline rumble, so i'll be at santa pod on sunday. i'll call by the bubble on the way home, if people will still be there. i'll have to get to the next meet.
  7. would that convert from the nissan plugs to ISO then? great i'll end up with more plugs behind the dash than the electrics isle in B&Q...
  8. does the Z have ISO conectors for the head unit?
  9. i think i saw an faq/how-to on this somewhere
  10.  so thats where the builders have been learning naughty words...
  11. you can't even get indicators as an optional extra on a BMW!!
  12. check your dump valves, the springs in them weaken over time and you'll get vacuum leaks. i've worked on a few turbo cars recently with idle problems, and all were caused by weakened dump valve springs. you need to dismantle the dump valve, remove the spring and carefully stretch it to double its length, then reassemble dump valve. NB: this is only a temporary solution, the spring really needs to be replaced as it will have been permanently weakened. also if you're not competant with cars, get someone else to do it who is, i take no responsibility if you screw your car/parts up.
  13. does anyone know any companies in the derby area, and an idea of cost, that can underseal my import, as its a pain in the arse and i don't have a garage or drive where i can work on the car.
  14. what time is everyone meeting at the bubble? i've managed to swing the day off work :nana2::nana2:
  15. what about dump valves? and would i need to declare a turbo timer, as its not really a mod, is it?
  16. thanks for the quick reply. best be ordering it next pay-day then.
  17. I'm about to take delivery of a newly imported JDM TT and i'm concerned about keeping the auto box from overheating. i've seen the auto gearbox cooler on the Z-Centre web site, http://www.zcentre.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?cPath=21_50_82&products_id=191 . Does anyone here use this kit? Will using the original engine oil cooler as a gearbox oil cooler provide enough cooling to protect the gearbox?
  18. might have to make the trip over after work
  19. chances are i'll be working, but as i work in derby i'll just have to make sure the bubble is on my way home, plus theres some good roads between there and home ;o)
  20. the best bit: -i've bought a JDM TT and i get it in a week :hyper: the worst bit: -i've got to wait a week while its registered :headvswal
