  1. 1 stop performance, its just off hawkins lane near the junction with wharf road. the unit is behind velis kebab. website: http://www.1stopperformance.co.uk he's a mate, just tell him punto pete sent you. he's very good and work on anything from a 1ltr corsa to the big jap stuff and big v8's, he's done alot of work on a couple of scoobis and skylines recently. i'm picky about who works on my cars, if its something i can't do myself then i will only use him.
  2. the HKS iridiums are just re-branded denso plugs with a higher price tag
  3. i've been out in a vx220 turbo, as a passenger, and its alot quicker than a zed. that was before he tuned it up to about260bhp. although my mates evo beat it in the traffic light grand prix.
  4. you should come to burton, its chav central. one of the local chavs tried to race me last night in a 206 with a 1-point-something-pointless litre engine. i didn't even bother letting the turbos boost, just had to laugh at him. went and got the punto out just because it upsets everyone who tries to race it :D
  5. i just wouldn't be able to part with £120/metre for the real alcantara. i used imitation stuff in my last car, still cost £35/metre, it was good stuff though. i'm thinking about retrimming the top part of the dash as its just started to peel, is this a difficult job?
  6. they're still just as crap though
  7. i'm going to miss this one  i've got to work, i tried to get out of it but if i'm not there the shop doesn't open. i don't like being the boss anymore :headvswal
  8. i'm thinking about going straight from work, does anyone have the address/postcode so i can stick it in multimap for directions. i went to one last year with the vintage bike club, but as i was riding pillion i didn't bother paying attention to how to get there.
  9. they were out more than they were in
  10. because over drive is basically the 4th gear. try seaching the forum, lots of info on the autobox
  11. don't bother with 6x9's they're not all that good. you'd be far better off with a decent set of 6.5" components, with the tweeter mounted up by the mirror cover at the bottom of the 'A-pillar'.
  12. if o/drive was off then it won't change up into "4th"
  13. don't think i'll be bothering. i'd heard that the 3rd film was to follow vin diesel's character following on from the 1st film, like the 2nd one followed paul walker. judging by the state of the trailer it'll be crap, not even worth it for the cars, unfortunately
  14. how easy is it to keep clean? one of my passengers is a choc labrador
  15. i see its ok for the french folks next door to have their flag up, but we're not allowed to have our own flags up in our own country?? whats the betting you get a knock on the door from the local pollitical correctness do-gooder worried your flags might offend the local illegal imigrants...
  16. sorry, i'm assuming you mean the hard lines
  17. take it to a decent garage and they will make the brake lines themselves
  18. language! :slap: :nono:
  19. use the forte oil flush, one of the best out there, and it actually works. you need to run it in the engine a couple of days before you drop the oil. its only available from places that have received special training from forte. they also do an injector/fuel flush which is also very good.
  20. they would be better 0-60 if they wern't so heavy
  21. as far as i'm aware, the lights have to be clearly visable, for the obvious reasons. there must also be reflectors on the rear of the vehicle. you could get rid of the reflectors in the standard lights, as long as you replace them with some that are clearly visable. ie. you could have them somewhere on the rear bumper discreetly placed as long as they do the job
