Almost there
Guys just before the block goes back in, is there anything (bypass wise) I can do to improve performance. Iam going to plumb in the boost cont and the extra ICE pwr cables. I beleive the EGR and AIV valves should be removed and bypassed. Any techs shed light on this

Almost there
Its been nearly 2 years off the road. 8.5K in repairs and mods. The missus has threatend to do one due to me neglecting her. FFS wish she would, I could spend more dosh on mods, but hey carnt have ye cake and eat it. After lots of pain and dosh, my ever so reliable machine should be back on the road within 2 weeks. Well fingers crossed. Its going to take me another month to fit all me goodies and to rework my ICE install. Might leave this till winter and get some use out of it. I cannot wait to go to all the meets I have been missing CUM ON :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

Auto Box Question
Is the TT Box the same as the N/A? If not what other parts are required to fit a TT box in an N/A Theres a :duffer: in it for the winning answer :)

What's the max speed you've had out of your zed?
Take it your motor is highly modded, to reach that speed. Iam guesing around 500bhp. Once you reach the magic "No" of car vs drag (areodynamics). You will need to add I rekon 100bhp per 10mph or thereabouts. Out of interest what upgrades have you done

Polished plenums?
I agree totaly on this one. Thing is to get the plenum to a near S/S finish it takes a hell of a long time. Its is that demanding that I am not even going to do my own. Couple of wet wipes and thats ye lot.

I know who it is, they are on eBay as a tester ( just testing the market ). The guy has a few of them and is adapting them all the time to Z'ers requirments. The final product with all the trimmings will retail around the £400-£450 mark.

Sad to say I have the most unaerodynamic spoiler I think you can buy. Its the PB Big arse thing. Beleive me with this on it fells like you have a chute open all the way. With a mobile hair dressing van on the back.

There ye go. 170mph with a 5 litre V8 32 Valve'r. My Z cannot do 170, well it couldent last time I drove it 2 years ago (before the mods) me dads is a manual too. "Mines" an auto. Richy did the S4 wax you, as you said if it wasent for the rev limiter you would of had him. Mabee I have forgotten how fast the Z is as it has been a while now. Anyone else been up against one of these machines

Help on speedo
The limitation is is the ECU not the speedo. As you will never get up to 180 there is no need to change the speedo (if it is in Mph that is ) The Jap one is in Kph so I think its approx 120Mph. If someone has put dial overlays on it you do need to change the clocks. Most ECU ICs take the limiter off and also alow the boost the reach 14psi approx. Have someone local to read your IC with a conzult, this will tell you the limitations

Even though I luv me car, I have drove the S4 and its go's like a bas***d from hell. No lag or build up and its done less than 20k. Call me a trator but my money is on the S4

What do you reckon on this Me pops has the S4 (STOCK), he has set me a challenge. The 928 has 320 real mans bhp, against my slightly modded 32 putting out approx. 400 at peak with tubs spooling. (you know the difference) Well anyway he drove the Z when I got it and said it was too heavy and under powered, and that the S4 would kill it. Must admit the S4 pulls like a bitch from as low as 1.5k, with more torque than Vanessa The challenge has been set, the gauntlet has been dropped. Place ye bets, what do you reckon? He even mentioned winner takes all, but I couldn’t take his pride and joy away from him :cry: PS..This is NOT an open invitation so don’t go there :nono:

Zed off the Road How do you cope?
2 Years now., To get buy I go visit her every other day with a bunch of flowers. Because I feel sooooo bad having her off the road, I buy her new toys every month. Hope she forgives me (well it works with the missus)

They do mate, I put them on mine last year. Only snag is that the key is in middle, not on the left. Nothing a soldering iron and a steady hand couldn’t fix. If I remember correctly I paid bout £2.50 per connector. My local supplier has these in stock if anyone needs them. They come complete with rubber boots and good lengths of wire
