I tried the 5 meter rule, but its also down to cubic capacity I think your allowed upto 60 cubic meters max. The thing is, my garage is on the side of my house making it closer to the public highway than the house actually is. Even though there is a high fence around my boundaries The moral of the story is if you don’t get on with your neighbours, then you will have alot of paper work to contend with. Work this one out then….My dad has owned his factory for 26 years, Approx 8 years ago he stopped using it as much and bought a retail outlet instead. I used it as a garage for years (10k sq foot , nice). Over the years I noticed that the neighbours fence seemed to be moving over ever so slightly (cheap trick) Well anyway five years had passed and my dad decided to visit my workshop one day and to his horror the front fence boundary had moved 2 meters onto our land and at the rear a patch of garden measuring approx 40ft by 20ft had also been lost to the neighbours. A little pissed off we decided to dismantle both fences using crow bars and the help of an old car. The police arrived an attempted to prosecute us for criminal damage. Over the next year visiting solicitors and attending court on several occasions it was brought to our attention that because the factory had not been used for the computer business which it was initially registered for, then after 6 years the land becomes anyone’s. WTF. We tried battling it out and paid over 10k in fee’s over the next year but hit a brick wall. Now the factory’s value has decreased significantly and we have lost a large portion of land. How can this be. Now to prevent this happening anymore, my dad has bought loads of scrap cars and placed them round the perimeter to stop anyone else moving there boundaries. Has anyone got any advice for this ongoing situation????

As the screen is ot flush with the console, Iam going to make a black plastic removable cover to fit over the whole console. Across the top Iam going to butcher a spare speedo cluster surround and modify it to make a miniture version. Should look factory spec when the proper unit is built.

Iam going through the same process at the moment. I have built a concrete prefabricated garage which is sectional and free standing. The planning office came down hard so after paying them £120 and filling loads of forms, Iam just waiting for there approval.

I have a plan to keep out the sunlight so no worries there. I will take pics when I have finished the install. That computer of yours is sweet. What is the model No and what does it cost for the complete setup. What O/S is it running as this could be perfect for my application also

Be better if you got the ECU mapped for the higher octane, have 2 eproms 1 for pump and one for higher octane fuel.

I was bored tonight so I thought I would have a play and knock this up Its tatty and covered in glue but it have given me the template to make more. Also a pic of my mstation which I will install next week. The screen is going to be soley for use with Conzult on a permanent connection through my "behind dash" laptop. The empty slot will house the DVD player which will inturn run the 10.2"" rooftop screen. I will not be needing the CD or MD kenwood system any longer so will take pics and put them in the for sale section.

Matty it doesent take long to pick up the phone, I tried calling you on loads of occasions but could not get through. It got to the point were I was asking your buddys to speak to you. Everyone runs into problems at some time or other, I did not expect a full running explaination of your personal problems. If you simply bit the bullet in the early days and said that you either did not want it or could not afford it then that would of been the end of it. As for the screens, I was simply explaining my frustration as I have had only dealt with you on 2 occasions, both went tits up You say I dont know you, between feedback from others and my dealings with yourself I know all I need to. I did this on the public forum only because I see that your have shown interest in yet another motor. Unlike some people I was going to contain my frustration for another day.

On several occasions you told me to go-ahead with all the work prior to Christmas. The car needed body work/respray a new engine, MOT and servicing. You know that it needed this but insisted that I get it all done as you defo wanted the car prior to actually seeing it. The stainless exhaust was extra. The point being if you did not ask me to spend all that money on it, then my financial situation would be a damm site better than it is now. Have a look round TT.NET and other Yank sites, They have been doing the transplants for years. One of the sites has a list of what engines n boxes will fit in the Z.... PS..£1000 for an engine is a good price, A "Z" without an engine is worth around £300 -£500. I recently bought a smashed up "Z" just for the engine and box, and paid close on £1500.

Looks pretty bad, looks like rear subframe has also gone. If you got hold of a relacement rear setup and a rear quarter panel, you could repair her no worries. You would be better off doing that and selling her as a runner.

“holding your own” I mean the N/A will not be too far behind the Chris's TT. Read the thread ...I have a "several" TTs, I also have an N/A. I have lots of engines and spares to play with. I do not want tubs on the car, I want to dabble with the stock N/A setup to the point were it is still reliable as as a daily driver. I know what times to expect but this is between "man and machine" not just the car its self, Iam not saying that I want to race every man and his dog because my car is faster than yours bla bla bla.
