Babel Fish! The way people deal with things all depends on language. You wouldn't sort out a problem with someone who doesn't speak english by speaking english. You have to use the lingo they understand. In this case DGsignmakers used the language of violence because unfortunately some people only understand this language (and a few other select words such as 'innit' and 'safe'). DG didn't simply go round fwacking people for no reason. Now that would be sick. Lets just pretend that DG studied violence as his modern language at school and he managed to use it to great effect. And if DG is sick then why do we watch Batman?

Will you be in person or on the phone? If they baulk at say 172, you could say ok no problem, good luck etc etc, then see if they call back later. If not you could ring them back and offer more.

I... I mean my friend was about to ring to tell them earlier but then he realised he hasn't actually got the points yet, just the letter saying that he's going to get them. How long do they last for again? 18 months?

Purely out of interest, see I got this 'friend'. He got 3 points on his licence (driving a fiesta - not a zed, 39 in a 30 zone thinking he was in a 50 zone) and he's now wondering: 1. how will it effect his insurance premium 2. does he now have to ring insurance companies saying "hey I got 3 points please let me pay you more money". I first noticed this pulling away from a petrol station the other day. When I turned the ignition the car was sqealing at me. It had a certain rythm to it so I'd guess it was some sort of belt or basically something that goes round and round. Anyway it went away after about 20 seconds. Any ideas? Im not sure if it will do it again because It was the last time I drove it before I went on holiday and I can't drivwe it yet since I gave my sister the keys to look after. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Al

Wow this thread has really turned into a monstor. Might as well add my fave films too in no particular order: Shawshank Redemption Jurassic Park Lotr Trilogy Back to the Future Trilogy The Bourne Identity Airplane Pulp Fiction Full Metal Jacket The Matrix (first one is pure class - Neo dodging the agents bullets for the first time is a monster movie moment) Terminator 2 Goodfellas Memento (watch this if you havent seen it!) Fight Club Mission Impossible Airplane Starship Troopers Batman Begins I think these are my favourite movies though not really what I consider to be the best.

Great film not sure about the best ever made though. its definately the best vision of a future especially considering when it was made. Too be honest when I watch it I always feel its a bit TOO atmospheric, so atmospheric and moody that it borders on boring. Rutger Haurs (?) best role to date though.
