If my det sensor is faulty could this be causing my det problems as i am even getting slight det at 15 deg on stock boost let aloan o.9 bar

Yep the auto box does have its own fault code reader try zcenter wbsite and go into auto transmition section its on there somewhere Same thing happened to my mates. You have to do a series of tests like put in park then drive depress brake pedal... etc Its very clever stuff, anyway his came up with a faulty revolution sensor. Muffin.

detting, no code 34 its reading clear 55 but some suggestions came back as maybe a faulty det sensor?

Yep im to a new sky customer i got several quotes and get them all to haggle lol, and SKY dropped lowest. Im 27 hve 4 years nc manual tt exh filter chip etc all for £365 fully comp. There are alot of people out there who get one or two quotes and think thats all they can do. I phone around 10 insurers on renewl date.

Its just it stared deting and ive tried everything else.

If a det sensor is faulty would it show up a code 34 or is this not always the case?

I am getting no fault codes just 55. Could it still be the det sensor with code 55

I would say your best bet is to replace the rear bootlid altogether from breakers for around £50-£100.And you should also be able to get one the right colour. Thare are plenty of breakers yards with parts for these available. Muffin.

Is there anyone within an hours drive of Wantage oxfordshire that owns a conzult i could come over to use in exchange for a pint. ie Swindon, Oxford? Its just that my car is detting on 0.9 bar of boost and even a tad on stock boost with timing at 15 deg When running Higher boost the detting will only go away at 9 deg!!! Plugs and coils have been checked. Car is a 92 manual tt with DE- catted 5-zigen exhaust, boost jets, blitz ind kit, se chip (Andyp) :p and osgiken triple plate clutch. I have owned the car now for nearly two months and i did not notice any pinking when i bought it. HEELLLP ME PLEASE!. Muffin.

Coils, spark plugs or even your airflow meter.

I had same trouble and it turned out to be a bad coil. Have a spare if you want to try.

Riiiiiiiiiigghht then! In my handbook it shows a basic pic of the roofs in the MIDDLE of the boot with the strap in a triangular position with the point towards the front. IT SAYS... Place one panel over the other with thier locks positioned opposite and downward to prevent scratching the panels. DO NOT PLACE ANY HEAVY OR SHARP OBJECTS ON STORED PANELS LOL. Thats all it says hope this helps. THE PANELS LOOK LIKE THEY ARE WIDTH WAYS IN THE CENTER OF THE BOOT AND JUST FIT BETWEEN PLASTIC MOULDINGS .

I will have a look in my owners manual after i've just stuffed my face with takeaway back in 10.

DOH! OK SOUNDS GOOD. I am going to take the jets out and put timing back to 15 deg, then see whats hapening det wise. Do you think its worth me having a conzult test done when set back to standard and will the chip still be ok in the ecu on standard boost?
