paint finish
Hi folks, i sent my zed in for a full blow over after fitting the new spoiler and bumper and when i picked it up it seemed excellent. Its only now with the better weather and different lighting i noticed that i can still see swirls in the paint - although very feint it is consistent all over the car (almost like extremely light scratches). Is this to be expected or am i expecting too much. I did approach 3 or 4 places for the price which was £1500 (not inc vat) which they were all about that price - but he was recommended. Any views or advice greatly appreciated.

z world chip ?
Hi, 2 years ago i had an "ecu upgrade" not sure but i think thats the same thing from jeff at zed world. I thought it made a massive difference compared to standard tt and much more enjoyable drive. However, i dont know how this compares to others. hope that helps

light problem
i fitted the lambo light conversion 2 weeks ago before taking the car for full respray. When i picked the car up and got it home i noticed the lights are playing up - it seems to be blowing bulbs (although they dont look blown) but as soon as i put a spare in their ok again. The brake light does not seem brighter than the driving lights (when i have lights on you cant notice the brake lights. Is it possible that i have wired the brake lights and the drivng lights the wrong way round and what could cause the bulb blowing all the time. Hope this makes sense - any help much appreciated

lambo rear lights
thanks mate i will give that a try - i will be using tigerseal to bond and seal. Having no experience with fibreglass i was unsure whether it would bend or would just crack and split (the latter knowig my luck).thank sagain

lambo rear lights
Hi Guys, I would much appreciate some help on a couple of questions. i am in the process of fitting the lambo conversion from zcentre. I had to modify the brackets to bolt the panel on to which is no problem - but have noticed that the gap at either end is about 5mm each side. do i need to fill this or once bonded and bolted just leave it. The panel also is proud at the bottom about 3/4 mm - what is the best way to get this to sit flush without damaging the panel. I am assuming that the wiring is straight forward. I am working long hours at present in an area with no mobile signal so cant really try luke - just wandered if anyone had experienced the same and overcome these problems. Any help much appreciated as ever cheers

help on de-cat
ive just decatted although got the pipes from ebay (twin divorced downpipes) from 2fast2cool. unbelievable difference in throttle response and spool up and best mod so far - notice your running mongoose exhaust as well - awesome sound when done and only cots me £130

fitted decats
It sounds the business - had the car two years and always put it off (worried about the turbo seal debate) - i was getting cheesed off with the turbo lag but these spool up so much faster and seems more responsive - with hardly any lag

fitted decats
Hi guys I finally fitted some decat pipes and although i was sceptical about buying from ebay (stores.ebay.co.uk/2fast2cool2 Exhausts) they were exceptional quality, fitting and customer service. I must admit i did not enjoy the 12 hours it took to do (my first time doing anything on my zed) - but it has got to be one my best mods and so far no sign of any blue smoke - touch wood. The thread was just to say thanks for all the useful hints and advice - couldnt of done it without this site Cheers

Please help
thanks for the advice guys it did hekp me big time - drivers side done now in process of passenger side Thanks once again
-
Please help
In my stupidity i thought i would tackle the drivers side first as this was supposed to be the hardest (damn right) - i havent attempted passenger side yet - i just cannot believe the lack of space - surely there must be a "knack" but i cant find it - so peed off
-
Please help
i couldnt wait to have my decats fitted so i am attempting it myself - have taken out master cylinder - dropped straight cat pipe and have removed the pig of a bolt on the pre cat - but i cannot fpr the life of me get to the one nearest to me - its fouled by the heat shield. Have removed two bolts to the heat shield but i cannot get anything on the last one - i get a spanner on it from underneath and cant get my hand with any leverage - has anybody any tricks that i am overlooking - have given up for tonight but would love some ideas to beat it tom. Cheers dave

body kit advice
I was interested in getting one a while ago. I am sure that you can screw the new "skin" from where the number plate sits and also on the sides behind the red reflectors - remove them first - once they are out you can then get a G clamp in to help bond together (once screwed and glues). I am also sure they use a strong bonding agent called tigerseal or seakaflex. A Great bloke to talk to is Luke at zcentre - i was going to get one from him but changed my options on bodykit - he is very helpful (still got different kit from him). Cheers

pre cats
Hi, just recieved my decat system that i got from e bay (must say seems excellent). I was only expecting straight decat pipes to fit to existing downpipes but it has the pre cats as well - cant fit one without the other as the new pre cats are longer. Seems an ok job apart form the upper 2 bolts that bolt to the turbo,s - any advice how to get to these.

thinking of fitting an Aftermarket Temp Gauge??
Hi, i have the same gauges and would like to use the existing sensor - but do you connect the gauge wire to the wires at the back of instrument cluster or clip the connector under the bonnet and connect there - if behind the cluster is it an easy enough job (which wires are they) Cheers

Cam Belt
I know its easy to consider the closest garage but believe me it is always worth travelling to get the job done by people who love the cars - regardless of the inconvenience to yourself - i used to travel 250 miles to get mine done but now i have found one sooo much closer

300zx styling

300zx styling
getting a few bits ordered ready for a full respray - like the look of the monza rear spoiler at 300zx styling but they seem very slow in responding to enquiries - dont want to order and then never get the part or have to wait too long - any body had dealings - guidance much appreciated
