  1. So you fitted a pair of non nissan O2 sensors, they caused hunting of the idle and you unplugged them and it appears to be running correctly now?
  2. It doesn't run perfect, the zeds swallow a lot more juice when no o2 sensors aren't attached!
  3. I doubt if the poppet valve would have fubared your turbo steve, in fact it is probably lodged in your exhaust somewhere! The next step is to get the downpipe off bud and have a look for the poppet valve, double check the tub of course!
  4. I hear that spending too long a time on the committee can lead to negative thoughts, why do you think I got out :D

  10. So is this a thumbs up
  11. Seems that a few people have fitted these and I want to know if anyone has had any problems?
  12. I think he is after a nismo thermostat?
  13. I don't know the answer to this, because I don't like electronics, but how can it disharge the caps if the circuit is broken via the battery?
  14. I wouldn't bother with it, if it was just a race car maybe!
  15. I think it sounds like a series 3 car?
  16. Can't work on it for you, but if you bring it over can cast my eye on it!
  17. Cracks in the head and block on a 300 are rare, so my fingers are croosed for you!
  18. The warning thread I started eons ago, should be updated, the problem was with wear on the plastic end tank where the rad cap engages, it had worn away and would'nt engage with the lug on the rad cap! The problem with stock rad caps is they wear out and the spring releases too much coolant into the reservoir! This leads to inferior cooling of the engine gradually over a period of time. The problems with the hoses leaking would have been causes anyway IMO, because the system has not been up to par for a while but due to the cooling system not working up to pressure, they have not been working to spec, so no leaks! If you are worried about nismo get a new stock one then, but if the hoses leak to an extra increase in pressure of 0.1 bar then imo they are fubarred anyway.
  19. Sometimes head gasket problems take a while to emerge! When you take it out and thrash it is under pressure, but to do the head test you cannot get access to a overly pressurised cooling system. So the leak may dissappear when the cooling system is under normal conditions!
  20. To keep the cooling system healthy change the coolant every year and change your rad cap for a brand new one!
  21. Have you checked your coolant levels, are you losing any? When was the last time you renewed your rad cap?
  22. A pair of old t25's, not sure if they are the same! Did you get my pm about the plenum andy?
  23. I have an old turbo you take the parts off, might save you a bit of agro!
