Just downloaded norton antivirus package and the puta has slowed down beyond belief! I think the time has come to bite the bullet and and build my own puta! I have already have all the ancillaries, and have a 60gb hard drive, cd rewriter, floppy drive, just need all the rest :confused: I would like to turn my puta into an entertainment centre with the ability to play telly on me monitor and play CD's/radio through a sound system, also maybe to use my tellly as a monitor? Well these guys want performance, all I can say is that I wouldn't like to drive a car that has exhaust fumes leaking into the passenger compartment. Firstly it would smell and secondly from a health point of view, which is mainly why they are illegal along with the noise factor. I am not criticising people who want external wastegates as they want the performance, but it is a personal opinion of the type of car I like to drive!

I don't think you have to have external wastegates, I think internals are an option, to be sure how loud they are ask on ttnet! If you are worried about the legality of it then I don't think any copper could see them, but for me I would not be happy with exhaust fumes entering my passenger area!

Yes they are loud and yes they are illegal!

CJ, external wastegates bleed exhaust fumes into your engine bay! Wastegates are on the exhaust side of your turbo, they bleed exhaust fumes going to the turbine to alter it's speed!

Most brake ventilation systems cool only one side of the caliper! I think the intercoolers would not heat the air up that much to not give a positive effect!

Was wondering about this potential mod???? Would there be any way of venting the exit air on the Intercoolers, and then directing that vented air to cool the brake calipers? Is there room to have some pipework to achieve this? Killing two birds with one stone?

After putting the turbos on my convertible :D :D :D I would have to say my favourite mod is my short shifter gearstick, it cost £25 to do and it really makes the car much nicer to drive! After that it is R33 brakes, cost a lot more money but I feel like I can drive the car more confidently now?

Tatooman, You wanted insurance with agreed value and houghton offered it the cheapest, so they are the cheapest! You said you wanted your car as a daily driver so I presume it is your main car, with a lot of miles, they have already said they specialise in low mileage and the zed as a second car! Your car looks quite modified and you have said it is! Insurance companies seem to specialise in Niches and unfortunately we are not gonna find an insurance company that will make everyone happy on here, and I am afraid that you are in the minority and come under that bracket! Houghtons staff have been a pleasure to deal with and understand modified cars and car clubs, and have come out with some great prices, I don't think we can ask for much more!

But will they have silicone hoses that are resiliant to oil, water temps and the fuel pressure?
