Third gear M.I.A.
Same thing happened to me Jooles. Lost 3rd, stayed in 2nd. Mucho fuel consumption. Two considerations. If your planning to keep the car or sell it. Sell: Into a gearbox specialist and get 3rd sorted. Keep : Into the same specialist for a full refurb. I chose the latter as mine has been a labour of wallet. Had a full refurb on my auto gearbox, not cheap, but with a 2yr warranty? It'll do for me. I'm sure if you put a thread for a gearbox in the 'Items wanted' section you'll be spoiled for choice. Although you'll be looking for one that's sorted anyway. Sure, you'll be tempted by some of the low prices, but what will you do when you've one of those? You'll no doubt want take it to that gearbox specialist fella.........................................yeah. Sort the one you've got. Your Zeds worked with it in the past, it'll work with it just fine in the future. they know each other already. Enjoy your car. Happy hunting Jooles and good luck.

Front seats.
Time for a facelift! Rather than ring round the dealers and coppin' attitude, it made sense to ask my fellow members. Are there aftermarket seats that'll bolt right in keeping the, (electrical), adjustments for the driver?

Which Cam Belt?
Thanks Paul. I must be honest, I am inclined to go with Nissan bits, I'm just fishing for a bunch of feedback based on member experience. Thanks again for your input.

Which Cam Belt?
Time to change. Any suggestions for a good aftermarket manufacturer of quality cam belts. I don't need racing or track day spec, just a highly recommended make. Cheers.

running on 5 cylinders
Hello Bud. Just got my Zed back after a week in surgery for exactly the same problem. Cure? Rewire to the connectors and a replacement injector (same cylinder).

Hand Brake Rear Brake Shoes.
Greetings all. My mechanic informs me that I could do with replacing the handbrake brake shoes on my Zed, but also informs me that he cannot get these thru his normal suppliers. He has suggested I launch this thread. Can anybody point me in the right direction as to where I might obtain and purchase a set? Hope you're all well.

Aftermarket Front Seats
Hello All. Anyone know of after market front seats that'll pretty much bolt straight in an import LWB series 1 using the same rails and electrics?

Sound Advice.
Thanks Bud. Gutted is about right. I'ts not the money, it's the "Will I ever get there?", although after saying that, the old girl is getting on a bit now. What do I expect?

Sound Advice.
First time I've posted in the "Advice Section". It's more of a chance to kick myself in front of my peers and for me learn a damn good, (expensive), lesson for the future. Here's my advice. Always get respray work done AFTER your MOT. ??????????????? I hear. Sills, rust, skirts, hammer, wire brush, filler...... and then pay for the same paint and shoot twice. Genius Consider me naive and hasty Consider yourselves advised I am expecting, "Well isn't that obvious?" and "Always do mate", so spare me and hope they approve my overtime. Seeya peeps and peepesses.
