hi carl, i put it on the autotrader web on a wednesday and was inundated with calls, texts, and e-mails. a guy rang me from nottingham and we agreed the price on the phone and he came down and collected it that night, that was on friday so 2 days advertising - not bad, and it only cost me £5.99 for the ad.

hi t pot thanks mate. i've gone all sensible and bought a chevrolet lacetti 1.8 sport in black. i know it's not a patch on speed on the zed but it suits my needs now and the wife and me both like it. i've never had a new car before so you if you see this car driving round completely surrounded in cotton wool--that's me!

you can get what they call 'show plates' made up without your paperwork. any design you want even standard. should cost £10.

i have been told that you could buy a bottle of this liquid that you add to the oil that softens up all seals and therefore makes them expand so that if there was a small leak ie;the tub seals,it would prevent the smoke exiting the exhausts.this is on sale in halfords for £4.99. i haven't tried it but was wondering if anybody else has? if this works i think it's a must for all our cars even if there appears to be no problems at the moment. what do you think? :hyper:

afraid i wont be putting it back on the road as i'm buying a new car so its probably going to sit there for some time til i decide what to do with it.gutted really as its a decent car, but if somebody comes up with £2000 its gone.i know ken, he's got a d/side elec.window motor of mine he said he would sell for me but that was some months ago. anyway its a silver 1990 tt with leather seats and has done about 68000 miles. i have the t/top blinds fitted and it still has its boot cover which i know some have missing. its pretty standard except for the venom lights and the decat exhaust.if you can point someone in my direction there's a good drink in it for you so cheers.

hi carl, i have been experiencing difficulties at home with the internet so am back at work today replying. yes you're right it was decatted and the problems started not long afterwards. there is a lot of feedback about this one way or another but i wish that i had never done it. my car isn't going back on the road any time soon and am now buying a new car as the z was my daily driver. i have decided to try to sell it as it is so if you know anyone interested in a project car ?
