Hey man, I did disconnect the plug and from my memory the wire I spliced was yellow! :wack: could easily be different colours on different cars! I completely took my ecu out and double, then triple checked against the pin diagram to make sure I spliced the correct wire! I've now got code 55 and the car is boosting strong :) :dance:

I thought i'd reset the ecu.............tell me if this sounds o.k.? when i wired in the resistor directly to the ecu wiring the battery was completely disconnected, it had been disconnected for about an hour. i have since driven the car and the engine check light didn't come on once :) and the car is running on full boost.........but code 34 is still showing :headvswal i'll take it i haven't properly reset the ecu..........any other ways i can do it?

About 2 weeks ago I found my car was running safety boost and was chucking out code 34. Being the det sensor, I followed the guide and put a 1m-ohm resistor in place at the connector block in the engine bay. This worked fine for a couple of days (had code 55) and then the car went back into code 34!!!!! :x: Following my previous post earlier this week, I decided to wire directly to the ECU at pin point 23 :eek: , I spliced into the wire and connected the 1m-ohm resistor in line and then grounded the other end to the body of the car! This seemed to work fine and the car is back running properly on 1-bar boost :dance: , but, the car is still throwing out code 34! :headvswal :headvswal Now when I'm driving the ECU check light keeps going on and off at will........... theres no noticible pattern, it just comes on for a few secs then goes off, I can maybe then drive for 2 minutes before it does it again, then it could be a couple of seconds....... the light stays on for different lengths of time each time! I'm really stuck with this one and need help!? (I recently had the car chipped to 1-bar, could this have caused a fault within the ECU?)

yeah, i've not touched the o2 sensor until today......opened it. once i done the resistor it was giving code 55 and boostin hard and strong. i'm wonderin how it passed emissions if something such as the o2 sensor's not working :confused:

ok, that makes sense. Does anybody know the pin numbers or have a diagram of what i need to do? anyone help with the o2 sensor?

sorted my det-can sensor a couple of weeks ago with a 1meg ohm resistor, everything was going sweet, boostin properly etc then it jumped back into safety mode. done a check and found code 33 & code 34......... i've checked the connector for the o2 sensor and everyhting looks good (no corrosion etc) does this mean that the resistor hasn't worked? showing up code 34 again? if the connector for the o2 is not broke (corroded) how do i go about fixing it? will fitting divorced de-cats help or make the issue worse? the car has an induction kit, back box, 1mm boost jets and chip by John Dixon. (the car did pass its emissions test on its MOT on Saturday and the MOT tester even said it was running really clean :confused: )

all the fuses are ok. tried checkin eveything i could think of. when i turn the lights on, to the first position (where my sidelights would normally come on) nothing happens! although i know my sidelights are working because they stay on with the turbo timer. when i move the switch to the next position where my headlights would normally come on, the main beam appears :confused: even though the flash / indicator stalk is in the right position. when i put my fog lights on the main beam goes to normal headlight :confused: :confused: damn i'm confused got it fixed, everythings working o.k. now

very rarely would I enter a discussion regarding any ethnic minority / religion, but in this case I feel deve8uk has made a good point. I will be signing this petition as it is a sorry state of affairs when people cannot get a good health service in this country (without going private) that we do pay for, but, 100million can be found for a Mosque!

when i put my headlights on as normal the dash doesn't light up but I get full beam on :confused: when i put the lower fog lights on, the main beam will come on, and so will the dash lights, but as soon as i turn the lower fogs off, the headlights switch to main beam :confused: i have checked the main beam switch (pushed it back and forth) but it doesn't make any difference. any ideas?

mines does it to........sounds like a squeaky sound :confused: :confused: if that makes sense?!?!? my subaru used to do the same so i'm not to bothered as it brakes straight and true

just as dark........and i mean the colouring as well it's weird in a good way, the bad guy ain't that bad :confused: they've tried to make him as nice as possible. excellent film
