  1. Aye , it`s a reet treat for `em after a hard day up chimneys :rofl:
  2. Thanks , Mike . I would have expected a bigger gap in performance figures so , price-wise , it`s good to know there isn`t in a way . We`re all used to thirsty motors , so that ain`t really the main issue , for me anyway . Although any improvement would be a Brucie bonus :rolleyes:
  3. Thanks folks , I like the sound of them . Now how about a whip-round ? :rofl:
  4. Sounds like a fair exchange ;)
  5. Has anybody here owned or driven one ? There`s a fabulous-looking metallic blue and white one in my street ( along with a few "ordinary" Coopers ) . They`re not cheap , but cheaper to keep than a Zed , epecially in London , with upcoming increases in all sorts of car-related charges :headvswal
  6. Give that boy anything he wants as the whole of Doncaster will treat him like a god. Good on him I saw the goal and it was great.If Im not at work when the tour bus does the rounds Ill be cheering for him myself Thanks , Jamtee :) The whole team played well today , and brill in the semi-final second leg :D Good luck to Leeds for next year , I`m sure they`ll go up without a points deduction :cool:
  7. Sure is , Saz :D After he`d scored the goal , the commentator told (part of ) the story of when he scored the fastest hat-trick in League history : He played for Bournemouth at the time . His partner had given birth during the week , and he hadn`t had much sleep , so he was on the bench as a substitute for the next (evening ) game . His parents , Richard and Mary , left the ground to catch the Isle of Wight ferry , with about ten minutes left to play . James was brought on in the 84th minute and scored three goals in 2 minutes 30 seconds . It was in all the papers the next day , and my cuz and Mary had various TV bods interviewing them at home lol :D
  8. James Hayter scored the only goal for Doncaster Rovers against Leeds United in the promotion play-off final , " which was nice " lol :dance::dance::dance: His dad , my cousin Richard , who lives on the Isle of Wight , left a message on my phone this morning to tell me he had a spare ticket for me . But I`d overslept :slap: Anyway , watched it live on Sky 2 , so I`m well-chuffed for James , the team , and his family . First time Doncaster have been in the second tier ( The Championship these days ) for fifty years ! Over the moon , my son ! Far cry from young boys in the park , jumpers for goalposts , mmmm ?
  9. Have a great one , bud ;) :duffer:
  10. Well , you`re certainly not backward coming forward , Krem . People don`t usually announce their own birthdays , so I`ll let you wish yourself a Happy Birthday :tongue::rofl: Happy Birthday to all the others :D :duffer::duffer::duffer:
  11. Aye , by the law , probably :tongue:
  12. FPMSL :rofl::rofl::rofl: Kewl , dude ! Good job you settled down or no Sunderland or Chester lasses would be able to resist :D
  13. PMSL , smooth-talking bast*rd :rofl::rofl::rofl:
  14. S`funny , I was thinking only yesterday just how good Carlsberg ads are :D
  15. :rofl::rofl::rofl: He started it , ref ! :D
  16. Too harsh , sense of humour failure on my part .
  17. Cheeky Fooker ! I`m from the North-East , and I follow Newcastle United . History is what makes clubs great , not Russian wealth .
  18. Ignorance is bliss ! Bobby Charlton is still England`s top scorer , and he was a midfield player . He was on the plane which crashed , killing eight of his team-mates , as well as other passengers . He was in the 1968 team which won the first European Cup for Man United . He was in the only England team to win the world cup . In those days , people travelling abroad would often find that the only English words that the people knew were " Bobby Charlton " . And , Mr Ignoramus , he`s from Ashington , Northumberland . As said before , he is a director ( the most respected and well-known ) of Manchester United ! You obviously don`t know what you`re talking about , so keep it to yourself . :rant::rant::rant:
  19. I assume that`s a joke from an intelligent and funny man . Otherwise it`s a slur on an honest sport from an ignorant burk ! lol :rofl:
  20. I want United to win , even though I live in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea ( I can see their ground from our roof LOL ) On the other hand , it`s a win-win , an English team wins the cup :D
  21. PMSL Mate , you`ve got an obsession with getting nails stuck into/up people :rofl::rofl::rofl: Meet Vlallan The Impaler :D:D:D
