  7. Bugger off Chris - there can't be anything left to be done do your car style-wise ;) :D (fight club prevention smilies:D) Dave
  8. A waste of what was probably a nice MKIII Supra  Dave
  9. Since we replced the pipe with the huge split, the boost readings on the avcr have come down to around 1.1 to 1.15. This leads me to believe that the pipe we repaired may have been involved in the actual boost sensing mechanism. I will take the hardpipes off and have a check to see if anything is visible for the remaining boost leak. Dave

Looks very nice, would be great with an FMIC behind it :) Dave
  11. Yeah, Mongoose is very good for the money. A good point is that it is of FULL stainless steel construction. Some of the more expensive Japanese made systems only have stainless back-boxes and the rest is mild steeel- so will eventually rust away. Dave
  12. I'm amazed how easy they are, Stuart (SRRAE) did mine at the weekend. I know very little about working on cars, but I feel confident enough to change my own pads next time after watching the procedure. Dave

One of the bastards broke the glass on my drivers door mirror a couple of weeks ago  kill 'em all I say! Dave
  14. Sounds like everyone had a great time - apart from Ingram  what was there story there?? C'mon Warren where are the pics & vids  Dave
  15. I got some mesh from Ripspeed/Halfords. It is held in place with a piece of fuse wire! :D I just cut & fitted the mesh, then I got a small piece of fuse wire, looped through a gap in the mesh, around the tow loop then back out through the mesh again. I then twisted the ends of the wire together with pliers, then looped the twisted bit back behind the mesh so it can't be seen. The reason for this is that I only wanted a 'semi-permanent' fitting; as you never know when you might need those tow-loops at the back! Dave
  16. I've always thought there was too much space around my Mongoose Exhaust, housed within my Wings West bumper:- So I decided to mesh around the exhausts to tidy it up a bit, luckily I found some mesh exactly like I have at the front of my Z. Cheerz Dave
  17. Looks great Trev. Nooooo! I can't believe you're selling-up! Hope its to get another zed ;) Dave
  18. The only good ducks are crispy ones, with pancakes & hoi-sin sauce :p Dave
  19. Nice one Dave, be good to see you "Stellarised" at Billing this year :D Dave
  20. LOL yeah, when we got the wheels off, the front drivers side tyre was worn down to the wires on the inner edges  as Stu said, I got a very good deal from Pemberton. Just a bit of a 'ball-ache' having to get a tyre though; I'll be getting a set of 18's when my Blitz alloys turn up  Dave
  21. I spent the day with Stuart (SRRAE) doing some jobs on my Z. First of all we (well, mainly Stu!) replaced the front discs and put new pads on all round. I think it was about time they were changed:- We also used his patented can of beans trick to find a boost leak that I had suspected. I think this may have caused a problem :- We re-tested for leaks and there is another sizeable leak somewhere else, unfortunately we couldn't spot it (we could hear it) and will have to re-visit this. The car does feel quicker now and should be able to stop once the pads have bedded-in. A massive thanks to Stu who put up with my mechanical ineptitude- I owe you one mate ;) Dave
