Morning all, just joined up, as I'm toying with getting a Z.

Having driven Imprezas for the last few years, I fancy a change for something a bit more comfortable.

Anyway, I've been in contact with a guy who wants to do a deal with his Z and my Impreza, just wondering if I could PM a link to the ad to someone in the know and get their opinion.

Cheers

Mark

Firstly welcome to the club :)

Secondly you can't PM as you are not Subscribed.

Is there a reason you don't want to just post the link?

I suppose not, just wasn't sure of forum rules re. ads in general.

Ok Wes, what is it you would like to know? What opinions do you want? :)

Cheers,

Isaac.

Just anything to look out for with this year model etc. (I've read the buying guide).

And general opinions on the car from what you can see in the ad.

Thanks in advance.

Wes :)

Bloke sounds like he knows what he is talking about, its quite well described, sounds like he has had a few 300s before.

Its probably slightly over priced tbh

But he is right about the colour being rare, I like it personally but some dont.

Would be worth maybe just under 3k if it was a manual

You get what you pay for. I see there at first glance a very clean looking Z32 TT. I think it's worth £3k if it's a tidy one. £3k isn't a lot of money either. Sure, autos aren't worth as much and as saleable, but in some circumstance, they are worth better money. It's unmolestered too, which is a REAL bonus!

I'd always pay good money for a tidy stock/stock looking Z. They are becoming few and far between and TBH, you don't see a huge amount of pearl yellows about either.

Thanks for the input chaps.

The price isn't really an issue, as we are both happy to do a straight swap with the Z for my Impreza.

As the car is quite a trek from me, are there any questions other than the obvious ones to ask before viewing?I'm pretty clued up on Impreza faults/foibles, but not a clue on Z cars.

Also, are the rear seats genuinely useable? I'm pretty tall and the wife is 5'8" will kids fit comfortably in the back?

Cheers again

TBH bud, IMO the most important thing with a zed, is that it is running 100% and i think the only way to truely find that out is to view it and go over everything with a fine tooth comb. :)

Regarding the back seats, i'm sure some people might disagree and try and argue that they are useable, but IMHO no they are not. I'm 6'4" and there ain't a chance in hell someone can sit behind me and the passenger seat has to be brought forward for someone to even sit uncomfortably in the rear seat! I tend to use them for stuff rather than people, lol. However in 'emergency' situations you can just manage it, lol.

HTH :)

I used to be able to get two kids in the back, my ex had two little lads and they were fine and i'm 6'4" but they were only 4-5 yrs old.

Plus i used to take the lads to the pub in it too, it wasn't comfortable but we just about fitted with my knees up against the dash :D lol

Well my lil bro is 10 now and if he gets in the back he has to sit on his legs
