ok so iv had the car for 2 months and never really driven it due to the lack of insurance, so tomorrow ill be on the road (daily drive!) and iv noticed the oil pressure needle is quite low (inbetween 0 and the first notch) dunno if thats normal, and the roof has started leeking AGEN after i thaut id fixed it with vasoline its a drip once a min from the a pillar top where it meets the targa bit (drips on right fore arm lol!! hows that for specific, anyway was wondering (as im sure its not a one off targa leak) how do ppl go about fixing them any ideas? ALSO wheres the best place to buy a cam belt kit and how much should i pay? andrew page want 190 for the kit is that right?

the stock oil pressure gauges are known for there un-reliabilty, So what does the gauge read upon start up and / then when warm upon idle ?

as regards the seals i'd say the best bet is to replace! there's some in the for sale section now i think? (vasoline is not good for the seal's)

and on the cam belt have u tried -Danny @(dta/smithy's place)

when its warm at idle its in between 0 and the first notch - when you accel it goes up obviously think its ok, the seals are silly expencive and rubber is repairable, ill have another look at the seal, who's this danny at dta?

Danny is a trader on here (Dta) is the company name he has a slot in the traders section got all my aux belts of him this month , Not sure if Cam belts can be sourced but give him a try !

Well mine sits at 4 upon cold start and drops to 2 when warm ( that is with a recent oil change though and the gunge cleared from the sensor) as there known

when was the oil changed last ? - and if ur worried about the pressure get a test done but i think if it was V/ low u would have known about it by now;)

hth :D:D

any one ever put a zx na on throttle boddies?, an easy 300 bh - had an astra xe on throttle boddies 202bh - was far quicker than the c20let (turbo) equivilant,

I have the same problem with the oil pressure gauge, but its a faulty gauge but even at that my gauge when converted to psi is around 28 so thats fine anyways.

As for the targas, i have had the same problem tried silicone, new targas etc. But i now reckon it may be the door not sitting correctly, possibly worn with the door being long dunno if its possible fo rthe hinges to bend or something.

Does anyone else have this problem with the doors or had the problem, im pritty certain thats mines with there being no seal and having a leak.

woah! see! NA throttle boddied z32's are awsom!!

Thought u'd like that one ;), there's a few good vids out there just gotta do a little diggin lol :)

had a good look at them vids! awsom!, thats a good point about the doors, my doors seem to fall when you open them barely noticeable but still could be that???? hmm - door hinges need fettling

drain tube?

There is a hole (IIRC) at the back of the targa opening, basically level with the back of the door where the drain is, make sure this isn't blocked. If I'm wrong, forgive me and someone will be along to correct or aggre with me :)

Yeah, its more noticeable if you look at the edge of the door once closed then try pushing the door in, you will see the difference mate.

Leaking targas is a known weakness of the Zed. It doesn't relate to the door as far as I know. Water builds up in the channel between the front of the targa and the roof part that it rests up against. I agree that cleaning the drainage hole and tube is probably the best way to go. I replaced the rubbers, tried vaseline, etc., all to no avail.
