Hi guys

Just got the Zed with a new secondhand gearbox back from Zed World, Jeff and Jamie are wicked, very pleased; however I have just got some tyres priced up, and almost had a heart attack, I am running 265/30/19's on the rear and 235/35's on the front, and tyres are like £200 bucks each for cheapies buget brand stuff, I am convinced that I can get a 18' wheel and tyre package for that! So what wheel and sizes are people running, and avarage cost of tyres?

Yeah, for cheap cast alloy and poor quality Ling-Long tyres from China.

£200 is about right. I've just replaced all my tyres for £500 all in. If you have decen quality staggared setup, you'll be paying a bit more for tires, especially with those profiles and widths.

Personally, tyres/wheels aren't something to scrimp on in a Z.

Ha Ha LOL Ling-Long Tyres! Thats well funny, I currently have Toyo's all round and if I really step on the "Go faster" pedal its pretty easy to get the back end to break away in the dry, so I do think that I would destroy and rip apart a set of Ling-Ding-Ping tyres in about two days! In addition my wheels were like £2000 when I got them from Se Nistek a few years back, thanks for the advice,

Hi matey, Glad the auto box swap worked out so well, but next time get a better hotel:rofl:, on the tyre side the size you mentioned is the same as I run on my BMW 540i, a couple of weeks ago I replaced them with Avons they worked out at £155 each fitted and balanced from our local wheel specialist "Wheelmania" often wheel specialists can do better deals on the bigger sized tyres than your normal tyre bay.

Ops, I buggered up the pricing! I payed £110ea for the fronts and about £135 for the rears.
