it would be about March and would run from a friday evening so getting a late crossing then driving there on the sat staying over spending the day at the track then returning home on the sunday evening expecting to get home monday

that sounds wicked!:hyper: i would have to think about getting a passport though!

sounds good to me.

Subject to the 97 purple being sorted.:hyper:

Dude, that Hotel is 400km East of the Nurburgring circuit!

Is there any reason for that? It is almost a 4 hour journey :(

See if there are any hotels local to the circuit, this picture might help a little with placenames.

There are hotels at the circuit, although I guess they would be expensive. Im sure wozzer and others will have hotel recomendations ?

How about leaving earlier on the friday and stopping off somewhere in France for the night. Make the most of the trip, instead of rushing to get there and back.

Yeah, He's right for sure.....

I live about 1 1/2 hours from the 'Ring, so will do my best to turn up.

I don't know if anyone would be interested in this place;

There is a hotel on site, and it is close to the track. Maybe a decent weekend for us petrolheads?

Just a thought.....

That looks worth visiting - Concorde, Classic cars, Supercars, F1 cars and hotel looks nice too.

Yeah it is well nice. You could spend a whole weekend just at the museum if you were into that.

The hotel is actually pretty well priced considering. Only thing is I am not sure how close to the actual town it is. The museum is on the autobahn, and I haven't been there since they finished the hotel.

Will check it out if anyones interested, maybe take a blast up the road at the weekend.

OK - I am an ar5e. I had a brain fart.

The museum is next to Hockenheim, not Nurburg. It is about 200km past Nurburg coming from the UK. Still worth the run though, only just over an hour at autobahn speeds.

Dohhh! SORRY!

yeah im open to all the help i can get in organising it !

no good asking me then!

paul the only problem with going at the weekend ,is you get ALL the dickhead's on the ring ,and you have more chance of crashing ,as there are so many people on the track at the same time ....

IMHO ..the best time to go is a week day ...drive down on the sunday ,ready for monday at the ring ,some monday's the ring is open from 13:45 to 19:45..

and to be fair after 2/3 laps you or your car will be knackered ;)

there are hotel's on the ring (cost about 90 euro's per night for a double )

if you need any help setting this up let me know ...;)

wozzer....

always wanted to do the ring but my cars not up for it im afraid, the brakes couldn't hack it and i cant imagine its much fun in an auto

the date's for the ring for 2009 have not been posted yet ....:headvswal

will let you know as soon as i do....;)
