:slap: I've got the revs on my recently manual converted Z to drop to around 1,000 (the old ground pin 44 on the ecu ploy!!) but now I've tried a bit of DIY tuning :slap::nono: and the revs are uneven........ before I fook it up any more, is there any place fairly near to me (Watford) where I can get her plugged in and tuned properly???

:hyper::hyper: P.S. Loving the "Manual" :hyper::hyper:

I don't think it is as easy as just plugging it in to get it tuned properly. A Conzult will show how the engine is running and whether your O2 sensors are working etc., and that you timimg is advancing when you rev it. It can also do a power ballance test which knocks out each cylinder one at a time to show the effect it has on the running of the engine, i.e. a cylinder not running right will not effect the running as badly as one that is. the first thing I would do is make sure all your electrical connections are clean and sound, PTU, CAS, TPS, AIV valve etc, even your injector connections. Then make sure that all your vacuum pipes are on and in good condition, i.e.not perished and letting in air. Then if it is still fluctuating I would go for an ECU check and if all OK a Conzult check.

Thanks old Zed, It was running nice and smooth before the conversion, since having her back Ive cleaned all the contacts and renewed the coil pack and injector connections, changed the sparkpugs and air filter..... and I had a little fiddle with the base idle:nono:.... would swapping over the ECU with another( a Manual one instead!!) tell me something??

could be a vacume leak.. iff the motor has been tilted back to allow gearbox removal then the boost pipes could of been disturbed;)

and an auto ecu will run a manwell so no worries there

Thanks...... when it stops bloody raining I'll check all my pipes!!!:duffer:

if you converted your car to a manual the car will run better on the manual ecu mine did

but as stated it will run on the auto ecu when you took out the auto box did you remove the auto box ecu as well mate:rofl:

Do an ECU code check first, if all is well you should come up with 55. From experience I have found that most tick over problems are to do with the either the TPS setup or connector being dirty, or perhaps a vac pipe off or perished. If it was running OK before the conversion, then something has changed enginewise to cause it. A manual conversion really takes place underneath the car so should not affect the running afterwards.

When I unplug the TPS should there be a change in the tick over??
