I've got KYB shocks and Eibach springs to fit. Springs not on shocks yet.

How easy or not are they to fit? Any hints/tips or am I best taking them to a pro. I do have some coil compressors stashed away somewhere.

Are you going to be shimming out or fitting adjustable camber arms?

Well this was going to be my next question. I've already got the springs and shocks. What other bits do i need to buy to ensure the correct geometry? I want to do it properly.

Just had all this done Phil. :D

I fitted all of it myself with alot of help from a mechanic friend of mine, not a big job as such but quite time consuming.

I fitted KYB AGX Shocks, Eibach Springs, Powertrix Front Upper Arms, Tensions Rods, Rear Arms and Rear Caster Arms ( I also fitted Whiteline ARBs ). It took about 3 days in total, mainly because it was done throughout the days while he was doing other things. I only joined in because i wanted the experience. TBH if you ain't that bothered about doing it yourself, its prolly best to just drop it off at a garage and then pick it up when done :)

I fitted the Springs and Shockers a few weeks before the other stuff, to give them a little time to settle, before i fitted the adjustable bits and then i took it for a 4-Wheel Laser Alignment (I posted about that BTW) :)

It is now incredible :D:D:D

I hope that helped a little bit :) Apologies if it sounded like i was just bragging, LOL

Is all of this needed to correct the geomeotry? What sort of price would that lot cost?

I wasn't going to bother fitting the suspension for a while and concentrate on getting the car back on the road, however, all the interior trim is out of the car giving me access to the rear suspension nuts. It seems pointless to install the boot trim to remove it again later.

If you want to do the job proper - yes. It is then all completely adjustable.

I bought my adjustable bits in the group buy Dan organised and saved a fair chunk of money! :D The group buy was for the rear parts but Dan did me a good price on the front bits at the same time.

So when i got mine i payed £525 (that included the hicas eliminator which i sold on), the parts i have are quite a bit more than that under normal circumstances.

Best idea is to PM Dan and he can quote you :)

I'm about to install the interior of my car. Is it reasonable to install the new shocks and springs now (just the rear so I don't have to re-remove trim later) and then install the arms, rods etc at a later date?

I want to get the car back together but don't want to have to start stripping out the interior again in the near future.

Is installing the new rear shocks and springs straight forward?

When i was changing the Rear shocks and springs, i changed the camber arm aswell (Not sure if thats the correct name, but its the 'circular' one) And i did that because the shocker goes through that arm, so it appeared to me that i would have to undo/take off the shocker again to fit that part.

That is the only Adjustable bit i fitted for a couple of months until my springs had settled and then i fitted the rest.

Whip the wheel off and you can see the part i am talking about :)

You MAY be able to fit that without touching the top of the shocker, but i just fitted it as i had it there and it made sense.

HTH :)
