Seems that some people I speak to are unaffected by this and others are only marginally affected!

roofing here and 1 going next week plus one of my vans getting thrown up the road:(

I've been working on the Olympic Park for the past 6 months (one of the reasons I've not been on here much!) Lucky it's pretty "recession proof", but I'll be moving on in November. Got another 2 projects lined up though to see me through to next April :) Fingers crossed for after that....

Put out to pasture yesterday when I was made redundant from housing developer

25 out of 48 that were left after the last round of lay offs through the firm also gone

didn't matter that I had appointments in new owners homes upto the beginning of February

One guy left there now to cover all the after sales down from 4 to 1 in the last three months he is going to be a busy boy now

our place has just cut the work force from 200 to 39 worldwide.

gone from 19 down to 4 in our office :(

Sorry to hear that steve sounds like they are making a mistake and being veru over cautious!
