He is an 08 male Gyr Falcon flying very strong to the lure and doing over 40 passes.Would really like to take some pics in flight but its taking some doing at the mo because of his speed.

bloody awsome,always been really drawn to birds of prey,photos do not do them justice,been to leeds castle many times to see there displays...couple years back saw a golden eagle at close quaters....impressive doesnt do it justice its eyes never left me a real predator....beautifull iain....that eagle owl is something else

Good God , beautiful animals. I live near a place called Eagles Landing here in Georgia and on a Sunday morning I can hear them screeching. they will fly to a tree near me and just watch. My cat watches them also..I dont thing he wants to play with the Eagles LOL

He doesn't go away mate, because of that. they are your life, and take most of it up, from what iv'e seen.

Yes they are but IMHO they are well worth it.Falconry is my life now and I dont think I could stop if I tried:o

I do know plenty of people with birds of prey that can look after them if I go on my hols.

really pleased your enjoying it Ian and the owl looks awesome mate...i would of loved and was almost there with getting into birds but ive settled myself into thinking i really dont have the time that they need to keep them healthy but ime still just amazed at the whole sport. With the winter upon us i look forward to some good "take down pics" mate;):D
