Whats the difference looms?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Ive just bought a new engine loom for my car to fit with the new engine.

Does anyone know the difference between a Auto loom and a Manual as i didnt know till now that there is a difference. I thought Nissans would of just made 1 loom like most manufacturers

I just looked on the Z1 site and theres a Manual and Auto version!

If the loom i bought is for a Auto can i still use it for my manual??

Cheers

Dan

The AT loom has an extra connectors.

Yes, you can use an AT loom in a MT car, but not the other way around.

(Just like you can't use a MT ECU in an AT car)

Surely the engine wiring loom is the same, AT and MT engine sensors etc are the same? also the auto engines and manual engines are swapped between cars, only the alternator loom is different.
