hi all. I recently bought a greddy front bumper, a fiberglass one. I want to get it fitted up to the zed but as its away getting done i can't. My questions are, if i was to fit it up to someone elses car would that be a good idea or not?

Next question is how do i do it? Is it easy? Is there a guide or anything?

Same bumper as me...... :D

ideally you want to do it on your own car, only cos the mounting bolts might be in slightly different alignment and last you want it to drill out the holes in a slightly wrong location, easy enough to fit, 4 bolts 2 either side, you need to take out the indicator and reach up inside towards the front, a 10m on an extender is fine, and then once on drill and mount the bolts at the side along the wing...

a couple of pics to give you an idea where the bolts are..

Thanks mate, Would it be unwise to spray it the right colour now or should it be fitted first?

Trial fit first.

It may need "re-shaping" a bit:x:

Depends how bad/good the fit is.

Coarse file or flexible sanding disc in a 115mm grinder. Maybe only needs hand fettling with some 40 grit production paper.

its hard with the car being at phils place :(

I realize that but the advice I have given still stands IMO you need to get the fit right before you paint.

Totally agree with Pete.

Be it fiber glass of polyurathine, test fit first before painting.

Most front bumpers these days are copies, the mould id made from an original and then it has to be altered slightly to protect it from copyright laws.

Even my original Stillen front bumper needed slight work on it as these are designed for a SWB which you would imagine are the same size. Apparently not, the SWB is slightly narrower.
