no its different to that.....

100% definately not the power/hold button. its just to the left of the clock....

I had a similar one mounted on the side of the fascia on my jap TT, for ages i thought it was something else, until a few days before mot the guy switched it on and i saw the rear fog light light up.:slap:

They often fit the front position aerial switch there, the aerial may have been removed and just the switch left if it does not seem to do anything, otherwise it could be anything, try following the wiring if the suspence is too much.

From your description Its either the Front Parking aerial aid (rare feature fitted on some imports), or its an aftermarket switch.

any ideas what sort of after market thing it coulde if it is? doesn't do anything with the lights and i don't have an aerial.

Your car wasnt formerly owned by James Bond was it. I would check the passenger seat fixings !

My last zed had one, to the left of the clock and like lagrath said its the reversing aid (airial) look in front of the passenger headlight when you press it and a big ariel extends into view with a green light on it. very wierd to watch. it also has an automatic function so it pops up everytime you put it in reverse.

look at the pics of the car Uno is selling as thats it, small black thing infront of the light

its true my na auto has one...never used it except to lift up my wifes skirt once when she stood infront of the car...so its useful after all :D

I also had the front parking 'aerial' fitted, the switch was next to the clock, but the aerial never worked. I had the aerial removed, bumper filled and used the switch to drive the rear aerial, because I listen mostly to CD's and don't want the aerial up unless the radio is on.
