there are a lot of awsome interiors on here,

the only thing thats depressing me about my car, is the bloody Tweed!!!

im too poor and smelly to afford to give the car to an upholsterer, and pay large amounts of money.

seen a guide on here how to do the seats, (the other panels look easy-ish to do)

how many people have done the seats themselves tho?

or is it really an impossible thing to do?

im takling about getting a large sheet of the material, and doing it all.

looks good in a photo! dont really wana buy leatherette covers for the seats, and have vynil panels;

1; they bound to be different shade of red to the leatherette

2; theyl look different (vynil looks bit cheaper/plasticier iv heard?)

does leatherette fit on the panels easy/nicely? or isit a pain to get on?

know real leather has to be stiched on, know vynil stretches, but dont know about leatherette?

i thought leatherette was just a posh name for vinyl, any hows ive found some black alcantara on ebay its around £25 for 1mx1.3m inc postage each piece after that is £21 would 2 of these be ok, to anyone that has done it or is 3 better and did this do the rear panels as well?

Vinyl is what leathette is made from. It's just lightly textured to give a leather look.

. It's just textured to give an a leather look rather.

On these internal curves did you have to glue the material or did you stretch it in place and it stayed there? I thought it would spring off if it wasn't fixed and leave a hollow behind it if you know what I mean.

Cheers

Mike
