This guy is the new tuning god. I have emailed him for his secrets.

Oh yes, 500bhp from an airfilter, exhaust and boost controller.

I can't believe some of you have wasted thousands on forged internals, upgraded turbos, injectors and intercoolers when all you needed to do was ask this guy what to do and get it 'MINGS' tuned! !:rofl:

On a lighter side - it actually looks very clean and I wish him every success with his sale - I just hope the new owner doesn't expect the same 500bhp that this owner has...

In the Q and A section. he says the tubs and injectors were fitted by "mings" ??. I think he means "mines" but I got a feeling they are standard. No one in thier right mind would fit uprated tubs and injects and stay with a stock Rad, surely ?

just asked him a question......

what intercoolers are fitted to take 2 bar of pressure. how do you find the series one PTU copes with 500bhp? also what sort of anti freeze are you using to make sure the engine wont over heat with the stock radiator?

lets see if he replies lol

The Japs often run 500BHP cars on stock rad, but just don't think its running that kind of power, but hey you never know. It does look clean and tidy

Not sure on this one either? PTU is just the timing and control of spark, a 500bhp car doesnt spark any harder than a 100bhp one???

Any explain this for me?

At the end of the day its the buyers choice. If someone who dosent know what they are buying buys it then maybe they shouldn't be allowed 500BHP anyway? The car looks like a nice car for a change and if he is lying then he shouldn't have bothered ;) Just let the car sell itself?

Actually I claim to have 750 BHP from my 300zx with Just a K&N airfilter and JWT chip :nelson::rofl::rofl::dance::x::)

the series one PTU would not be able to proccess fast enough to cope with the power of 500 hosres

Is that all????????

You must have an NA Zed

Um??? what???

Sorry but that sounds like complete load of twaddle to me lol

Do you know what a PTU is?? lol

I really cant see why BHP would make ANY difference to the PTU? All it does is regulate the spark at the right time? With 500bhp you wont be running 16,000 RPM which yes I would agree it would have trouble keeping up with, but your not, so I dont understand why it wouldn't proccess fast enough??

reply to my question....

do not run the engine to 2 bar, the boost control can be set up to 2 bar, I personally run at .6 .8 & 1.2 standard intercoolers and normal anti freeze speak to Geoff at Z World he knows the car.

Wise words Vini......

Richard;)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

was it a series one you had? i thought the eight bit series one wouldnt proccess over 400hp

well there you go

A ptu is an amplifier and not a processor,& it switches the primary circuit on and off.a series one will support 450fwhp and some with no trouble.

Anyone asked him if he has the dyno printout from when it was setup by mines or ming or whoever as surly its been setup properly!

As said, in fairness it is a nice tidy Zed and priced okay too. Without any bullshit it would be a good motor.

Unless of course he really has no idea on exactly what the car has, that's happened many a time with imports.

Mate, you sure you're not mincing yer terminology here? Do you mean the ECU?

Either way, you're wrong. 8bit ECU (89 - 96) perfectly capable for producing good results. I'm sure JD etc would back this up.

As for the PTU - it makes the spark plugs fire. Series 1 or series 2 doesn't matter - both do the same job (The series 2 is a more robust unit and doesn't appear to suffer from the poor soldering often found in the S1)

ive got 10zillion BHP, i just changed my oil and fit one of them power increaser thingies from ebay........saved me thousands !!!
