got a day off work today so i thought i'd drive over to Thurnby and visit the bodyshop who did a darn good job of painting and repairing my poorly Z and fitting the bodykit, as i have a new kit all stacked up ready to go. got there and no answer, spoke to a couple of businesses either side (a garage and a car dealership) and they both tell me he's not been to his shop for over a month. one tells me the rumour is he's moved into town and started a new bodyshop. thankfully ive managed to dig out his email so ive emailed him and asked him whats going on.

so feeling a little dejected i got into my car and drove to the alloy wheel place down the road to me with the intention of seeing if they sold the wheels that i want. they've bloody closed down as well :headvswal what's going on? lol!

thankfully i know of two or three bodyshops that i can trust, but i'd rather find the guys from The Worx Bodyshop or whatever its called now and have them do it, if they're still in this business that is!

We're going through hell and we're pretty big :(

Least you got somewhere else to go happy0034.gif

Where was the bodyshop in Thurnby, I drive through Thurnby on the way to work, I can only think of the garage on the A47.

Can you pass on the other bodyshops that you trust, mine will need doing in the new year and I am struggling to get any recommendations in Leicester.

I work for a large-ish bodyshop chain Dave and we,ve been very quiet for a good while now despite having some major contracts with some of the biggest insurance company,s , it,s as though no one,s crashing anymore !! lol

Alot of small independent shops are folding cos they,re struggling to get insurance work because of the large contracts they set up with places like ours :headvswal:headvswal

i own and run a buisness employing 3 guys and ime down 75% on last 2 years turnover:(...ime starting to get pissed off with the whole careless attitude of the current ruling political power we have:xxx:

yeah its a real shame cos they were a great bunch of guys - they were real enthusiasts too - they'd rebuild a GTO engine, and were working on a 4WD Corsa with a Calibra turbo engine - and would always say if im driving past im welcome to pop in for a cup of tea. a year later when i went in he'd had to lay off half his staff including Andy who had helped me choose the colour, but the owner's plan was to start doing MOTs which he did for a while but i dont know if that fell through as well or he just moved to other premises.

hey bud its a crap time. the garage I use has chnaged owners 3 times in the last year
