i persume its a soil waste from toilet...i used a 12" cutting blade in my wizzer in the past but a rough blade in a hacksaw will do it aswell:)

It is a waste pipe. I'll try a normal wood saw but what the hell's a wizzer???? lol

fook knows what a wizzer is lol, i always use a wood saw when cutting old toilet outlets, be sure to measure it first as some of the old outlets may only be 3" and not 4", you can get a correct pan connector but not in B&Q lol

pretty certain it's 4" but thinking about what you just said, at the the moment the flat above is PVC which comes down into my mates shop, it then has an adapter which fits on the outside of the PVC pipe but goes into the lead pipe, that makes me think the lead pipe must be smaller than the 4" PVC pipe.

If that's the case, I'll put a normal join on the PVC pipe and extend that down to where I cut it, then I'll use that original adapter at the join.
