Right have had enough with my insurance and am gonna hit em with the cost of repairing my car.

 

I need to know price and availability on the following pls guys dont know who is the best person to ask.

 

Drivers door with elec mirror and door glass

Passenger side as above

front wing passenger side

front wing drivers side

upgraded side mount intercoolers as i think my drivers side one is damaged and the insurance should cough up for an uprated pair ;)

 

also is it possible to get new rear quarters? even if its from japan or the states? need a drivers side one.

 

also need passenger side headlight unit,

 

and both front sidelights

 

also need wheels and new front bumper but i can source those.

 

would really appreciate some help as my insurance assesor has just told me off the record that if i offer to help with sourcing things then they are more likely to get their arse in gear.....

 

i need to know who among you wonderful zed owners can assisst in getting my big blue beastie back where it belongs

That sounds like a cop out to me, thats their job for ffs, why should you have to do the groundwork.

The reason we pay through the nose for insurance is to get it all sorted if there is a problem.

yeah i know but am having a mare with em as per my last post and decided that if i can get a little proposition together it may help me get it all sorted without having a ****in stroke from stress..

Are you after new part prices or second hand?

Obviously new if the insurance are paying for it and getting the job done or second hand if doing it yourself.

I fookin hate insurance claim accessors. I'ev had 2 cars written off in the past, and both times it took over 6 months to get a penny out of them, shit loads of stress and I lost huge amounts of money because of it. :rant:

Try one of the breakers as well if Nissan say the parts are in Japan....

Letter to MD of insurance company and threaten to take your story to the local nes papers. They hate bad press. It works every time I promise. Just do a search on the web or buy a copy of who's who

Just be careful they dont cat B the car and pay you off. They did it to me and there was nothing I could do.

Rear quarters work out very expensive mate. On my skyline they were about £300 or more for the bit and then about £1500 for the repair work and that was just one side! The insurance company will probably deem it an uneconomical repair (if thats what you're going for). You have to cut all the spot welds, weld the new quarter on and then do a full rear respray,etc. I've recently reshelled the whole car because it was easier than doing the rear quarter! (had some other reasons but you get the gist!). All the other bits you can easily get from the traders here or through breakers such as 24/7.

Mate, drop me a call at lunchtime. I'm just about to transfer my lwb to a swb shell and the arches are sound on the back, in fact the whole shell is pretty sound.

 

If you've got the space to do it and you're willing to help move an engine and box to another shell with me you could have the shell afterwards?
