I'm running 18.9 PSI. Without Nos.

I think its between 14 and 15 psi on stock tubs and injectors, the condition of your engine will play a big part too.

on stock internals?

vinz has 555's and bigger tubs... the standard tubs arent gonna be effecient at that boost (if they could even boost that high) but the biggest hold back is gonna be the injectors. you dont want to exceed 80% (i think) of the injector duty cycle and it seems in most applications you are pretty much on the limit of that @ 14 psi. so for a for a safe and reliable boost upgrade i wouldnt exceed that.

Yea thanks for the info guys!

I think i should of made it abit clearer sorry!

Ive changed everything on my engine but a mate of mine is looking at a Zed and its apprently had uprated turbos injectors etc but it still has standard internals.

Thats what made me think how much the standard pistons and rods etc can take before they go pop! :smash:

Don't the Americans get some serious power out of stock engines? 500++??

As long as there's no det you have a fighting chance really.

Det will kill an aftermarket piston too, it might take 'a bit' longer than a stock piston but they're deffinately not det-proof ;)

you can get roughly 450 bhp out of a stock engine, obviously alot depends on condition etc and map but i wouldnt run more than 15 or 16 psi on a stock engine or it will go bang at some point!!

Jun car 1000bhp used a standard crank think standard rods are mega strong as well think there forged as standard or made out of some fancey alloy.

Stock pistons are the weak point.Stock rods and crank can take serious power before upgrading is needed.Plenty of 5-600bhp zeds in the states are just running forged pistons with oem crank and rods.
