Just going to get my car resprayed and was wondering how much does it cost to replace the trims on the car? Including the scuttle panels and targa trims. Just a ball park figure. Im trying to con the wife......sorry, i mean convince LOL:wack:

door and quarter glass mouldings - $212 (nissan specify that the rear quarter glass moulding has to have the glass removed to replace... this non oem kit allows you to replace it without the removal of the glass)

 

windscreen and t-top mouldings - $200

 

scuttle panels kit - $260

 

total = $672 + shipping + import duty

i just sprayed mine tosay with stone chip flexy paint;) worked out well but it started raining and i got pissed off grrrrr then the wind blew the masked newspaper onto the freshly painted bits ahhh had to start again :( i also painted the drivers and passenger window seals they look new :)

sorry i made up that name. its stone chip paint and it stays flexible so great for things like rubber window seals etc.

oh... ok, i know what it is, never thaught of using it though, i tend to use meguires trim stuff and to be honest its poop

heat the rubber up with a hairdryer then add some poor boys natual look trim gel, comes up excellent

i just bought some from halfords today :D

just look for something along the lines of stone chip trim repair, stays flexible when dry, for bumpers etc etc, cant remember the name and im too lazy to go look at it haha.

What shall i do about my trim on the top because the covering has split showing the chrome underneath. Painting seems the best option. Then again i could buy two second hand bits that haven't split.

I am going to be peeling/scraping all the old stuff off before i spray them anyway. I remember seeing a thread on how to do it and it seemed just as easy to do the full job :)
