sorry to sound a prat,

but what is a DET sensor?

is it the same as the nock sensor??

Yes it is the same as a knock sensor. It senses detonation and adjust the ignition to suit rectify. If the problem is still happening I would would look at the condition of the female connector. It sounds as though some corrosion may have appeared and the resistor is not making a good contact. I ran a resistor for years without any problems.
