hasnt that one been up for sale on there before? and definately a Mac jibe there!

its lee at what was importance. sad really when you have to stoop to low levels to try and make a statement and a sale!

lol, how sad. Regardless of what that cars puts out, you've got to repsect Ian for putting in so much of his own money to get a 300 the way he wants it, anyone can just go and buy a powerfull car.

It's extraordinary the lengths to which some people go to make themselves unpopular !

but

it is a bloody nice car ;)

sad thing is its pretty much the exact same spec as the one i was building :(

lol, ahh i think its quite funny. The guy must have a sence of humour! Nice car - if only money was no object id have it in an instant... Fancy going halfs mike?? :D

Lee Got banned for constantly insulting the chairman (Mac1) according to the ban log.

The car has never been dyno'd in this country as far as I'm aware, it was imported form Japan and already had the dyno charts with it, so in terms of UK BHP there's no way of telling if it will hit 920.

I'm having to disagree a little with the advert he has put up. It says with further tuning and a little nos it wil hit 1000 bhp. ok nos will give it more but I think the car has pretty much been tuned to it's max, without NOS I don't think there is any more Horses hidden away in there.

As for the MAC 1 destroyer, you can't really lay claim to something unless you have done it. I'm not aware that Mac has ever raced against this car, so that statement is a little lame if I'm honest. What's even worst is this statement he makes "This car has more power than a MAC1 fighter jet!!, infact a MAC1 wouldn't know which way to turn!!, (well that's because a MAC1 would never have the bottle to run, let alone run against this car!!)". I think as mentioned above he is very bitter.

I'd be a little worried about thickness of the cylinder walls. I'm mean with 90mm pistons and a 3.2 bore I'd wanna make sure the block was frozen and tottaly blueprinted.

yeh - lee and mac had a difference of opinion that got all a bit personal

i want to see a uk dyno for this car - not disputing the figures just past history has shown big hp cars comming accross from japan dont seem to make the bhp claimed

its an impressive spec though - massive turbos

- my guess would be 7500-850 bhp - definately a drag car though - the lag will be nasty

alex

From me looking into this car it is genuine, be it right on its limits at 1.8 bar which is the max the greddy turbos will run to and the spec does support them kind of figures, i believe it was also on pump fuel ie 100 ron so shouldnt be too much down when remapped in this country on 99 ron so i would guess 850 should be on the cards.

Needs progressive NOS though to help them puppies spool up, i would imagine you wouldnt see 1 bar until 4750-5000 revs without nos so its gonna be a handful LOL but with a decent mapped in nos i recon it could be a real weapon :)

Funny thing is as well is its not been build as a drag car in japan but more a fast street car with its suspension and diff etc

With regards to the spat between mac and lee, i dont think it was with mac but more kim but all a little childish, yes the car is going to be more powerful than macs, so's hundreds of other jap cars in this country, that life!!

Well said Alex.

Lets hope it makes that sort of power and someone buys it who will actually put the car down a drag strip.

Unless anyone knows different we are still waiting for a VG-engined 300 to go sub 12 sec. Sad really :(

On a separate note I believe Lee is bringing his blue 300Zx to da Pod this Sat for Round 3 of the Z Club drag challenge.

whether it has that power or not who in their right mind would pay 15k for an imported 15 year old 300..........

he must be off his rocker to think hes going to get anywhere near that figure z's are great cars im not denying it but they have had their day and also no longer command such silly price tags

People pay that for 15yr old modified supras and skylines, and its not the most expensive 300zx I know that has sold in the last year or 2.

nice spec, cars tatty, running gear does what it says on teh tin. If i was buying one and even thinking of upgrading then that car would be it. Im in 30K so far and im not even close to what that cars spec has.

There is a good possibility that that car is the fastest zed in teh country, time will tell when its over here and been seen.

Nice spec but very tatty in the interior department looks like everythings been thrown in.

I would expect better for the money.

Ok for anyone interested in reading the true facts then here they are.

When you have gone through the blood sweat and tears to produce a car from stock to the spec that I have done you would never know just how much of your life it will take up

The Z is now around 7/8 complete to the spec that I am wanting. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond my control the last 1/8th of the project has been on ice for some time now. The last few parts to supply the project are

1 A reliable gearbox that will handle the power that the car is producing

2 Alloy fuel tank mounted in the boot so we can map on race fuel

3 The plenum replaced with six individual throttle bods

At this moment the car is producing a genuine 586 horses running on Shell V-power but there will be no dyno sheet posted until the project is 100% complete.

Not once have I ever stated that my car is the fastest but what I have said it will be one of the most powerful in the UK. when the project is complete and that’s a fact.

From what I can see the only person bigging up his unproved claims is Mr Ali Janjua remember this car is not even in the UK yet let alone make statements on what it will do can do or who will fear it.

Now creating something like I have done and been part of the Z community for the last 10 years will attract three types of people

1 The ones that are interested in what you are doing are looking forward to seeing the finished article and will give you a big pat on the back and admire you for what you have achieved.

2 The people that and really not that bothered what I have done as they are not interested in tuning a car the level I have and are more than happy doing their own thing.

3 Then we have the third category these people want to see you fail and are so full of envy because it's out of their reach and are usually very bitter people. Lets face it there are not many that are prepared to spend the top end of 70k on a 15 year old car that’s not one of the best engines to work on and extract power from

Again the above type of people also featured the car on the Legendary Barry Boy site they were members from this forum that hid behind silly usernames and the funny thing was one of them who was slagging my car off even had the same front end that I have and was even painted in the same colour

This project was done for my own personal goal and nothing else the people that have sat in the car and experienced what it is capable of even before the project is complete will tell you first hand that the experience is breathtaking.

Finally I will not be dragged into personal insults on a public forum If people really have issues with me for what I am doing plaster my name all over the autotrader and ebay and are far too busy worrying about what I am doing with my car then I will be more than happy to speak to them face to face. Anyone can type insults on a keyboard to try and get a reaction I have been around here long enough to know that these type of people are not worth the time of day. However I don’t mind a little banter with people that I class as friends and members that I have met on here and have know for years.

PS Paul you are a little slow he also put it in the autotrader two weeks ago with the same comments but well done for finding this one.

Edited by MAC 1

Anyway Iain, all that wide arse kit makes your slow :p

On a serious note i agree, there only a very small persentage of people on here which have actually had the balls to spend serious money on they zeds, its madness as you will never see the money again but hey that life and its for the love of the cars.

To be fair to this car in question, it is someones love and joy in japan and the guy had put some serious money into it and really looked after it, i dont think it looks tatty inside, yes its got a silly bandana on the steering and could do with some nicer mats but apart from that its pretty much stock inside apart from the guages, ecu, afr etc which again people dont understand that once you go to this level you need to monitor your car very closely!!!

I would have this in a flash and i'm sort of pi55ed off that i posted the original link for this car and all ive done is handed a car which he has paid £10k for and he is selling it for £16k :xxx: but hey he has taken the risk on it i suppose but just a shame no members wanted it.

this sounds like quite a project , will be interested to see it

well to be honest i fall somewhere between these 2 as to be honest a lot of it is well over my head technically , i've heard a lot about your car in the years i've been here but never seen it and it's always good to see a well looked after zed, will it be at jae?

I fall into this group

I doubt that I can make JAE this year

But if I can talk my way into going actually seeing this car would be the main reason that I would be going

I'm sure there are a LOT of us who are looking forward to seeing you meet your goals Ian , and admire the amount of work that has gone into the car.

I know from my own experience that its often all the smaller things that take up the most time and energy in planning, designing and installing, and its the work that goes into them thats rarely appreciated.

Its a testimant to the car and the work you have put into it that although you've been very quiet lately and there hasn't been news on your car, people regulalary refer to it and use it as a benchmark setting.

What are you gearbox plans ?

Would LOVE to see a ITB setup on the VG in the UK.
