hi there i bought one of these aircon recharge bottles from halfords the other day to top up my system, but the nozzle is too big for the fill valve on the car. has anyone else had this prob, and how did you get over it. or are you all loaded and go to a specialist....lol. is there a adapter i can easily buy, or am i stuffed, any help would be muchly appreciated. cheers

they only sell R13 our zeds have valves for R12 which you cant get now...i found a site on ebay that sold me a valve that screws on our cars and allows the R13 to fit,ile try find it and post up

Ihave just used the same thing with no probs have you put it on the low pressure side mine worked fine aircon is know blowing nice and cold.

There are two conections into the Air Con system a High pressure & a Low pressure conection, both are close to each other with caps over them that look like Tyre valve dust caps.

They are located down the left side of the engine (passenger side) forward of the battery, round about the dipstick area.

One conector is lower than the other, I think (but not totally sure) that the higher one is the low pressure valve.

As i said in a previous post i did mine yesterday the low pressure is the pipe at the bottom and has an "L" on the dust cap its a bit fiddly to get the valve on just make sure it is or when you come to charge the system it wont work but well worth it.
